I prefer the nightstands stay a natural wood. It will be a nice warm contrast to the cooler blue in the room and give an extra bit of coziness.

Most of your house has wonderful old wooden furniture , keep the bedside tables the way they are to tie in with its character. Wax them , polish them but don’t paint them. Such a lovely bedroom you’ll have! Can’t wait to see the rest of it completed.

I love your videos, I have to say the new camera is so unsteady watching it when you are vlogging it makes me feel nauseas as it doesn’t keep a steady frame, this video is really hard to watch. I know you say the tripod is so much more work however your previous video’s quality are far superior ❤

Yes, in America we go antiquing! But then, we'll make anything into a verb. Your first go at wallpapering looks absolutely gorgeous! Well done! Wait until you have the room finished before you decide whether or not to paint the bedside tables. They are very pretty, simple and informal as they are, and look like they may have a wonderful patina of age on them, which you can't replicate. Once it's painted over you'll never get it back again. Maybe all they need is a waxing or oiling with furniture polish... Can't wait to see the finished room!

I get the ease of use w the new camera, and i like some of the features too, but the quality is a little lacking... Its grainy, and is it the cameras fault for the audio slightly lagging? Maybe it's just bc it's not completely set up yet and you're still figuring it out 🤷‍♀️ But oh well, if it helps u and u like it 👍 Love the room so far, i cant wait to see more! (Dont decide on painting end tables until room is together)

The wallpaper is fabulous. I am an avid wallpaperer. I have wallpapered for several friends as well as having wallpapered and re-wallpapered several rooms in my house. Truth be told, I even wallpaper closets if I have extra wallpaper that will just sit around in my basement because I can’t bear to pitch it if there is enough for the purpose. That being said, I DETEST painting. One of the reasons that I find wallpaper so satisfying is that the immediate impact of your progress is huge. One piece done, step back, admire the impact and move on to the next piece. Your choice of wallpaper is perfect for your home. Sanderson and Colfax and Fowler wallpapers are killingly expensive but clearly worth the money. The two of you should be so pleased with the progress you have made in your beyond charming cottage as you move methodically and carefully to renovate your home. Love, love, love it and can’t wait until you reveal the final view with furniture. Leave the side tables until you get a feel for the room. You can always paint in the future. Once the pieces are painted they are … well, painted. What is the Farrow and Ball colour code for your blue accent colour? Prefect!

Be bold Maddie, colour drench the ceiling in Lulworth Blue. Invite the ceiling to join the party, it's feeling a little left out. Once the curtains are up, it will all make sense.

Wow what a great wallpaper and you made it look so easy. Incredible. Well done and so brave and such a fantastic result. It has been so hot too so you have done well to get decorating done in these hot temperatures. Maybe Cornwall not as hot as some other areas? What is great is you do your decorating yourselves and that is admirable and you are so good at it. You are a good example to others in that you tackle things and the blue limestone is a great choice and your garden will be transformed and a lovely area to sit in. I love your home it has so much character and is manageable which is what I like. You don't want to spend your whole life maintaining when there are other things to do. Houses can be consuming and although I love interiors etc balance is the key and so for that reason I have never wanted a huge house as it is more work and expense. You have struck the balance I feel.

Oh, my goodness !! The paper and that complimenting blue paint looks so fresh and pretty and inviting. The camera seems to have been well designed for purpose. There were some shots whilst you were walking around outside that made the camera made easier as a viewer to take in. The frame is wider without being all wonky and fish eyed and seems to toggle back and forth to close up focus on you and then wider angle shots with ease. The light adjustment seems really good, too. The sound levels all seemed good. Wow. Shall be interested to hear your thoughts as you spend more time with it. ❤

I have always looked for auction chairs and charity shop bits to fill my homes and even furniture left in houses that I like and previous owner did not want, an Army auction sale chest of drawers which I restored and love and use as a dining room storage piece, outdoor wood and metal bench I use in my dining room, wicker pieces I have painted etc. So much more fun than new and boring characterless pieces I see. Money is hard earnt and so I was brought up not to waste it and anyone can spend money but at the same time waste it and be broke. What is the point of that and so many bloggers spend so much and not a good influence on the young as it becomes more about greed than a sensible approach.

Stain the nightstand a fresh new wood colour and use the blue paint as drawer handles / knob colour!

Personally, I love the nightstand as is, especially with the blue and the wallpaper. If I changed it at all, I might do a darker wood stain maybe. Like Varathane Early American or something, but I'd probably keep it as is. I love the room! It looks so good!
