So kind of you to take the trouble to comment. Natural and loose is exactly what I’m am aiming for in what I call my “wild garden style”. Wild as in untamed but not chaotic, garden as in natural and just gathered from the garden and style as in well we all want that regardless don’t we. 😉

Absolutely lovely Kathryn - thank you so much for sharing. So glad that the mainstream is finally coming around to "garden" flowers. I have been doing a deep dive on sustainable practices, for the flower farm and the floristry, and I am wondering if you have come across any alternatives to chicken wire? - I really want to be 100% compostable for everything my (v.small urban side hustle) farm produces and so wire is not really an option. Best wishes for 2022!

Thank you 🙏 for your lovely note/ and yes I appreciate your comment and do agree- I think it does definitely depend on what you want to create but I’ve used curly willow and string as a mechanic, either on its own or with moss and straw if it’s for a wreath or arch. All best wishes for a beautiful floral 2022

@@fierceblooms thank-you for responding. so nice. oh yes curly willow is fab, I am going to try to find some this year, it's not very common here in Canada. Moss seems like a good option, if it's from a sustainable source. I have been thinking about the possibility of making criss-cross grids with little twigs and raffia underneath maybe? Definitely got to do more experimenting!

Such a beautiful, airy arrangement. What is the soft foliage (third ingredient) with the small leaves?
@fierceblooms3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sherry it’s probably privet or maybe sweet pea tendrils? I’d need to double check as it’s been a bit of time!

Lovely video, thank you! I got the name of the apple mint, but what were the names of the other 2 foliage plants please? Also, what is the name of your lovely perennial scabiosa? Thank you xx
@fierceblooms3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam glad you liked the video- the scabiosa is columbaria ochroleuca - I’ll just go and find the label to double check the other foliage- do you grow foliage?

@@fierceblooms thank you! I don't grow enough foliage! Xx

Yes it’s funny isn’t it! We all think of florals and forget the stems 😂 Senecio is now called Brachyglottis - shrubby ragwort - grows like a weed here! Do you know it?

@@fierceblooms oh fab, that's what it is! I think I may have some. It's a new garden to us, so we are slowly getting to know what's here. I put in a 30 x 4 bed in for cutting this past Feb, but of course the foliage takes a bit longer to establish, and there is so much I want to plant! What was the dark green flexible foliage with the line thin leaves? Xx

That sounds brilliant! Yes foliage does take a little time to get its feet under the table - I think it’s the contoneaster franchetti- lovely foliage
