About Me
=============================
I’m Fierceblooms, an artisan flower grower who creates “wild garden style” flower arrangements from a 19th Century Wharf and Cheshire canalside flower cutting garden in rural North West of England.
I grow and arrange fresh and everlasting flower creations, influenced by each and every seasonal moment and the wild edges of the surrounding countryside.
My hearts desire is for everyone to return to a more seasonal, scented and sustainable floral life.

@@fierceblooms Oh my goodness...everything! I've been gardening in pots and cervices everywhere in my little town houses since forever, but this autumn we're moving back "home" to my partner's family property, where I'm being given free reign of half an acre. (the mind boggles!) So I'm in deep research and dreaming mode. I was a conventional shop/events florist (just a hired hand) all through my 20s before moving to marketing, but I am running back towards the flowers. I so admire the way you do things!

@@fierceblooms Actually both. Old gardener who started a cut flower business. I do small parties and have done a few weddings with mostly purchased blooms. The UK growers have a number of new ( to me) flowers I was able to source seeds to grow next year. I love the seasonality of the UK floral businesses. I appreciate your excellent tips and advice!

My last surviving grandparent passed during the first lockdown. I was fortunate to have the honour of creating his casket and church service arrangements. Two of my sisters have since been married overseas during more recent lockdowns...I would love to create bouquets like this one for them one day, to make up for not being able to attend their long-awaited special days!

It’s been a very very sad and difficult time - I adored my grandparents so I am sorry- I hope the video was useful so when we’re able to get together again you can make them a big bouquet 💐 x

@@fierceblooms Thanks, Kathryn. We have that in common - it's such a blessing to have good relationships with your grandparents. It is precisely those relationships that brought us to NZ - we wanted our children to get to know their great-grandparents before it was too late. Your video was incredibly useful - there are so few decent videos about wrapping flowers on KZbin!! Considering this was about the most whoppingly generous bouquet I've ever seen, you built it so quickly and made wrapping look a breeze. I'm itching for the flower bounty of summer, when I'll have plenty of material to practice with. I love the excuse to experiment and gift bouquets to anyone who pops by. One thing I've learned about myself is the less time I spend fussing and...well, thinking...the faster better my bouquets turn out ;)

Amazing bouquet! Oh how I'd love to receive something like that! You make it look easy - but I know how hard it is. I am making myself little bouquets from my spring blooms here in my NZ garden - but I have a long way to go on the learning curve. But as I write this I am enjoying the heavenly scent of my freesias - one of my most favourite flowers. I love the roses you used - what variety are they? I'm enjoying your videos - and your charming garden.

Thank you so much Jacinta for your really lovely comment- so appreciate it - the roses came from a UK company called Usk Valley Roses- I’d used them for a wedding and had a few to include here - one of them was Margaret Merrill and the others are tranquility Claire Austin Desdemona, Lichfield angel and iceberg - I needed more than I could grow here for a larger wedding- oh for springtime- it is my favourite favourite season- thanks again and let me know what other videos you are interested in kathryn

@@fierceblooms - Thanks so much for the information on the roses Kathryn. Happily I have Claire Austin on order as well as Strawberry Hill. Desdemona (which I badly want) has been almost impossible to get here this year - it is so popular.
