Creating the Charmed Book of Shadows

My mom and I created our very own Charmed Book of Shadows. We tried to get it as close to the one on the tv show, with a few liberties taken. We then traveled to the Wizard World Comic Con in Cleveland where we got it signed by one of the Charmed sisters, Holly Marie Combs!

One of the best iconic shows that is a classic and legendary! So much nostalgia...so many memories.... I used to play Piper always... had our own charmed sign on the wall n our room with my sister. So much love for this incredible cast and show. I grew up with the characters) And been re-watching this legend every year in October....soon to start another round;)

Piper was never my favorite character, but she was the one character I most identified with. The middle child who was always nervous and overthinking everything. Holly Marie Combs is and was the best cast member of the series because shes so faithful to Charmed and still gives fans what they want. Even though Prue and Phoebe were my favorite characters, Piper was the most developed and really became the jack of all trades character on the show. She was an older sister and powerful like Prue, and Artistic and Romantic like Phoebe and Paige

Wow. The brains and dedication you have to have made the entire book, that's amazing. I am a hardcore Charmed fan and I literally would cry my eyes red raw if I ever met the girls. To meet Holly must've been a dream come true. I am so envious. The book is amazing! My birthday is in a couple weeks and I told my bf what I wanted months ago. Thinking he forgot , he didn't! He ordered me a replica BOS and I actually cried with joy when he showed me the confirmation email. This video was so satisfying to watch, you're really talented to know what to do and how to do it! And to meet her. Wow. Cute doggie too!!!! Blessed be xxxx

I love them but I just wouldn't let them sign the pages 😅 I mean, if I had a BoS created by such a hard work, I wanted it to be exactly like in the series.

Getting it signed was the whole reason we even made the book. It was worth every minute when they saw it and started flipping through saying how impressed they were with it. All of the hard work was worth it to get those signatures on it. To each their own.

I also accept the fact that for many people the signatures just make the book more unique. Idk it's just me... I would've also been extremely happy if I had the chance to meet the actresses and have their autographs, but I'd rather choose sth else to sign 😀 (Of course if I had no choice but getting it signed, I would accept it and also be very happy about it)

Holly thought it was very well done and actually took and flipped through most of it. Charisma Carpenter couldn't believe she had her own page from when she played Kyra in the series. She also flipped through most of the book and we talked about how we made it. James Marsters (I know we was never on the show, but he played one heck of a vampire so I had him sign it) thought it was amazing as well. Said he felt nervous signing it cuz it was so nice. lol

I tried to age the printed paper with coffee and tea, but the ink expanded! How can I do!?

LEMO NADE I used tea and just lighted dipped the pages in tea. It’s not really about how long you soak it, it’s more about how much tea is left when you bake it and then that’s how you get little stains and aged look/feel. I then baked in the oven for a short time. I never had any problem with ink running or expending. I also bought some thicker paper, so that may help with your situation as well. Good luck!

Bluesidian I found a lot of artwork online and then created some myself using photoshop. I then made up a complete PDF file to print off the book.

kasandra simerly I have tried to include all of the pages featured in the show plus some. Meaning that I also put demons or creatures they fought that may not have originally been in the book, but I treated it as if they added it after they encountered them.

Tommy Paton It was a mix of PDF’s I found online and some I created that I saw on the show but couldn’t find. Then I put them all in a giant PDF and organized pages as I have seen them on the show along with using how other people have organized them. Then a few liberties taken with pages that wouldn’t be in the book originally but I liked in there lol.
