Great build!! An Idea: with such a big carpark, in a desireable location (park, key transport links), it almost feels like a Park and Ride - a bus shuttle that goes to key destinations from here would probably be highly desireable, and gives you a chance to do a custom bus stop, maybe at the end of the car park next to the Train station :D

I loved this build. You really set the scene of a festival. I would suggerst a few actual tour busses back stage. I not sure the performers would be camping in tents. Name it the Burning Tent Festival

Well.. you know me.. I always have an idea... or an addition... but you have outdone yourself! This build is spot on and then some. Simply Amazing FC! This only proves why you are one of the greatest when it comes to putting your unique twist in everything you build. I can only think of 2 CSL builder that I can't wait to see what they come up with next. Sorry for such a long comment but I was at the beer tent since 5am *burp*. Tragically Hip is playing at 3pm. Absolutely amazing build! Really inspired work and a rarely used set of assets. I have, as always, one very small critique and that is, the wood fences look awful when they're stretched too much. Take a look behind the swinging spinny ride thing (lol) at around 43:50. Those are some long ass wooden fences. Other than that tiny constructive criticism, I adore this episode. Bravo

You're a genius. Channelling some serious Glastonbury vibes, I love it. 1000 portaloos and not a single one that you'd want to go in after the first day 🤣You just need a dodgy drug dealer coven and you're done! And some seriously nice tour buses would really make it. I think you need a whole lot of nearly identical food trucks too, the game only has a couple of decent ones though so I can see why you didn't just slap in a million of them.

Upping the ticket prices, there is a method to the madness: By having higher ticket prices, the festival area can attract more popular performers, who typically get paid by a percentage of gate receipts. More popular performers, means more ticket sales.

Another mind blowing build. I've never built a proper festival area before, but this has inspired me to make an attempt at MugStock near (sort of) Glasgow where my sister lives. But I don't think this park should be called that at all. Instead, I would second Funk in the Forest, as suggested by a fellow Corvallis resident.

Absolutely love this build, really cool! One question though, as you chose to build a parking area across a rather busy road, why not opt for a walking bridge? That would really add to the flow of traffic and is a lot safer for the festival visitors too

😯 Amazing!! I absolutely love that you included the ferris wheel and balloon rides. Another great unique build! 💜💜 I was skeptical when I saw the location however, I realized it's quite a smart location. I think that Auridont could have been built/sold cheaper with the knowledge that a loud festival space was so close. As you said, the train station is right there so it's great for bringing people to and from. And the raised train line can further separate it from any higher valued developments. Since you added a police station, could you add a fire department? Like a small rural one that could blend in with the older buildings at one of the entrances. Because you have so many tents I fear that fires will be a regular occurrence. 🙁 Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Although with the fires in the camp area I'm starting to think that some of the peeps are celebrating "The burning of King Olaf". The festival celebrated by The bards college in Solitude. (Skyrim)

Great video of a great design. Can I please ask how you’re getting that really cool ruined/trodden look on the grass across your site? I’ve tried to create something similar using Surface Painter but it doesn’t look anything like as good as yours. I just end up with horrible looking blocks of surface. Is there a way I can easily create the same effect as you?

So I use surface painter on single size, otherwise it's way to large and creates blocks. I also think how it looks depends significantly on the theme, so I use the ruined texture which there are flakes of in the normal grass texture in this theme so they can blend together reasonably well. If you have very stark ruined texture vs grass it can look blocky. Try having a play with Theme mixer if you have it to change up your ruined texture and that might help!

I’ve got there in the end by basically cheating - I’ve taken your recommended LUT and your theme mix, and suddenly the colours and textures are much better! Playing around more with Surface Painter on the single brush setting has also really helped me get the look I was after like your festival area. Thanks very much 🙂

Just found you, looks great have you thought (because i saw the tent fire) that in the back stage area you could have tiny fire house and police and medical and with the ability to change the vehicles that spawn from each station you could put in the tiny italian (i think) emergency services which are about the size of Renault 206s which could move around the local roads, festival sites always have medical somewhere. Glad to have found you.

I feel like the Concerts DLC is and was the single worst release for this game. Had no real direction and lacked anything interesting. This however, was such an incredible use of the content while supporting it with other assets... The insane number of people walking through the park brought so much life and realism.. Superb and incredibly well done.
