Sure, I thought they were both separately created, but it was beyond obvious that there was SOME relation. Perhaps one was a derivative of the other, a "model 2.0," etc, but there was NO DOUBT in my mind, as it was beyond obvious by comparing the skeletons of humans and other apes, facial features, the hands, ears, eyes, etc, that man was correctly classified as an ape in the same way that finches, peacocks, chickens, and ducks are all birds. It's all a matter of varying the proportions.

6:04 It's so ironic, that for normal paleontologists, who adhere to normal (rational) geologic reasoning, the preservation of "trace fossils" (such as trilobite tracks) and other finely detailed elements of the sedimentary record, would imply a very quiet, low-energy environment where very fine-grained sediments could settle very slowly to preserve these features. this is completely incompatible with the sort of catastrophic flood that Creationists envision. The entire concept of Noah's flood seems so colossally absurd, that it's important to remember that disproving it actually comes down to these sorts of arguments.

The Creation Museum gardens were a nice place to visit until they started charging for parking. I never spend money there. As an engineer, it was fun to walk over the many various bridges. The venus fly traps in the bog were a delight. Walking on the suspension bridge was a treat. Watching the zipliners from the wedding gazebo was entertaining. Inside, the back door of the bookshop gave access to the Palm Garden. Next to that was the fossil hall with real copies of real bones. Early on, it was possible to stumble backward thru the exit and see the exhibits in reverse. My favorite dino was the longneck waving its head high above the lobby. A large quilt in the starwell showed a lot of creativity and craftsmanship. My suspicions are they are moving the exhibits to the Ark Park for consolidation. The new building at the Ark Park is about the size of the CM, without AIG. Hopefully they will repurpose the CM into a hotel. It would be a hoot if they had robot dinos like at the Henn na Hotel in Tokyo. Going there one time is worth the parking fee. The "free" stuff is worth it, but the pay exhibits left me with a hollow feeling. Do not take pictures of the security guys or they will hassle you to delete the pictures. But if you like little bridges, it is worth a single visit. Peace

I remember reading the book "Memnoch the Devil" by Anne Rice and I came to the conclusion that if the christians are even close to identifying the creator of the universe, then it would have to happen in the way it happens in that book. Also I believe Anne does a great job of writing a fallible being as God, one who can and has made mistakes but is trying to do better. Because that's the only way God makes sense, and especially the only way sayings like "God is the objective source of morality" make any sense. But the end of that book also has God realising he doesnt need sacrifices, and god finds pity on the mortals and allows them into heaven after they have been cleansed. Its actually a great book, so good that it inspired my atheism. I was on the fence before, then I read that book and realised if there was a god, and that god was telling its story to man, then why is this story of god making so much more sense than the original? It shouldn't be possible that a human can write a better creation story than the creator.

At least she doesn't feel any shame at being Ken's mother now.

I am no fan of Ken Ham but I'm sure his mother actually was proud of him considering that Ken was raised to believe this nonsense by his parents who were also young earth creationists. He too was indoctrinated at an early age.

@rps2456 Oh, I'm sure she was comfortably sunk into the exact same bullshit Ken was. More's the pity. Think of it as not wanting to speak ill of the dead. I _could_ say the world would've been a better place if she'd died of polio in infancy or if she'd kept her legs shut, but then I'd be a real asshole. I'd be _right,_ of course, but I seem to be the only person who cares more about being right than being nice.
@EdwardHowton5 жыл бұрын
@Kevin McDougall There's a difference between nice and simpering. Cutting into someone with a sharp knife isn't nice, but surgeons do it all the time to save people. Being a simpering suck-up to people might seem nice, but Ned Flanders never helped anybody, he just convinced himself he was a good person by spewing the moral equivalent of glitter.

It's accusing evilutionists, esp Darwin himself of being racist, and by extension all science and scientists, that contradict any biblical claims.

@@rahowherox1177 Out of curiosity, did you misspell "evolutionist" intentionally as a method of mockery or was it a typo? (Personally, I'm not fond of the word 'evolutionist', as I think 'educated sensible person' is more accurate, but whatever works for you.)

@@davidstorrs deliberately, it makes me giggle to think anyone can consider science to be evil in its own right.

Really good video, Paul! I was in the creation museum several times, first time while it was still under construction. Was impressed with the quality of the actual physical exhibits: amount of detail and effort the artists and sculptors put into the mannequins, displays, etc. Sorry to see they're replacing all that physical art with TV screens. Next they will be closing down the physical museum and replacing it with a virtual website. Profit margins through the roof! That's right down Ham's alley.

This was a good one. About 15 mins in was the hi-lite for me. Sin is the killing of other living beings for a higher protein diet, this actually makes some kinda sense and am quite surprised that message was not picked up by many or most of the millions of sects that followed, Some did pick it up, and that is mostly overlooked because armies of commerce march on or something. Pay your taxes and don't be late as well.

Why is this called a museum? There's literally nothing educational or factual informative about anything. Oh Ken, this is just, as you said, a place where you pay to read a book. Wow.

museum, root word muse, essentially means "a building to come to and think about things, maybe to be inspired or to learn". so technically, any building can be a museum, regardless of what it contains or what the space inside looks like. so, i think we have to let him off on technicality.
@TorianTammas4 жыл бұрын
@@Yal_Rathol The Musaeum or Mouseion at Alexandria (Ancient Greek: Μουσεῖον τῆς Ἀλεξανδρείας), which included the famous Library of Alexandria,[1] was an institution said to have been founded by Ptolemy I Soter. This original Musaeum ("Institution of the Muses") was the home of music or poetry, a philosophical school and library such as Plato's Academy, and also a storehouse of texts. It did not have a collection of works of art, rather it was an institution that brought together some of the best scholars of the Hellenistic world, analogous to a modern university. This original Musaeum was the source for the modern usage of the word museum.

I am sincerely sorry for Ken’s loss. As much as I disagree with him, I do not wish him ill. I am curious about the gift shops you mentioned-when I was there, I saw a shop which could be entered without paying admission. Were there others I didn’t see? (because I did NOT want to give them my money).

The "museum" is more open and colorful, but managed to get much more boring. In a museum the actual artifacts have a priority over words (especially for kids). i mean I spent an entire day at the Smithsonian and I didn't have time to read that many placards and chose to see as much as possible in my time. The Smithsonian was jam packed with engaging visuals and artifacts. If I read only placards I would have only seen a fraction of the Smithsonian and if I had kids they would have fallen asleep. Given the Creation Museum has a rip-off high admission fee and the Smithsonian is free, I wonder which museum is worth a second visit?

When he says "warmed up" he means mentally primed to accept his outright lies. The new set-up is to give the impression that with the marvelous expensive up-to-date technology they are clearly in possession of unarguable, absolute modern knowledge.
