i learned some good tricks from your video. another approach would be to use a 3D pen, kind of a 3D printer in a compact pen format. you can fill ab gaps between plasik parts.

Yes ive done this repairing crack few years back with different approach instead of just melting it i actually put super glue then bore holes along the side of cracks then sewing it with the copper wire then apply heat gun then super glue again

Scrape off any burrs, put a piece of tape on the under side, fill with epoxy and scrape level with a business card. What you are doing saves neither time or money.

Não é fácil reparar plástico, quando aquecido ele perde a resistência tornando-o fraco, cola tipo adesivo instantâneo não resolve, porém essa técnica ai da tela de arame é bem eficaz. Parabéns pelo vídeo.

Incredible genius. So simple and so efficiently. I am gonna use that next time I have something plastic broken. That tape,bwhat kind of tape is that? Is that the tape for exhausting tubes, resistant against high heats?

No, I think it's normal aluminum tape. Every fabric tape (no PVC kind tapes) will probably work also. The heat is not so high otherwise you rather will deform your part to be repaired rather than to fix it. Fabric tape can stand up to 80° Celsius for short times, high enough for that kind of plastic. The weak point of the tape is the glue. It will lose its adhesive power at high temperatures.

Excellent ... if a little unaesthetic, esp the copper wire strands. Liked the last idea of the wavy spring much more. But what the hell, it is a repair with resourcefulness, can't have everything. However, maybe a small shallow spoon-shaped tool head could be made to melt the plastic on pressing and then spread the plastic melt forward. Btw, what is the aluminium-backed tape he is using - haven't seen one in India markets.
