The plaintiff used to be friends with the defendant. He says the defendant hired him to be a cinematographer for a short comedy special. The plaintiff claims the defendant didn’t pay him for the work he did, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff volunteered to work on the special. She says she agreed to give him food, but not money, so she doesn’t owe him a thing.

lol. you going to get a lawyer to draw up a contract for a 500 dollar job when the lawyer charges 500? you do realize that a simple note is a contract but is not a sound contract which means that based on the wording and not terms and conditions, I can easily get out of a contract. Most people are not smart enough to draw up a contract because all contract has terms and conditions to protect the person who is drafting the contract and not so much for the person recieving the contract... Also all contracts must have a start and end date otherwise it can not be enforced but I bet you didnt know that but here you are passing judgment on things you are not educated about. There is a reason most lawyers work involves contract and contract disputes even when drafted by attorneys
