I think painting the wall green will be nice, but I would bring the fireplace back to its original wood or just strip the paint off and stain it dark like your base boards & windows. It’s a shame it was ever painted white.

Elizabeth we painted our whole downstairs in a sage green which is of course a neutral and we absolutely love it! I think green would be so beautiful in that room. Those, shades, stools and shelves look great and I am wanting to now try a pleated shade but I had neve seen it done with ribbon and that looks like would be so much easier than cutting strips of fabric, thanks for the inspiration! Beautiful home you have!

I think painting the walls is a great idea. Possibly half of the wall and maybe wall paper the upper half. You are going in the right direction I feel. Good luck.

I think green would be beautiful in your dining room and on your fireplace! Just has to be the right shade of green. I'd get a few samples of shades you like and paint some thin boards and put them up in the room. That way you can see it transition through the different times of day :) can't wait to see what you choose!

Love the green color and the antique table, now that's beautiful!!!!!, Your ottomans should be velvet maybe some kind of antique rich material, but the antique table or a big old farm table with antiques chairs in your dining area with your mantel brought back to it's rich dark color would be beautiful.....and love love your thrifting videos!!!!! It would have been wallpapered in the 1800s. The room definitely needs painted because there are tons of spots that need touched up, but I don’t know the paint color the previous owners used in here and it’s a flat paint, so it can’t be cleaned. 😅

I absolutely loved how you redecorated your ottomans, loved the idea using the fringe! Your dropleaf table reminds me of my dining room table, except mine is a gateleg table. It’s so practical, especially when you have to vacuum, or just space. Thank you for the tip with putting up your little shelf and painting the cords to match! Like yourself it grates on my nerves! I think the green would look great!. Check a sample of Forest Green by SW. I am considering it on bookcases in a paneled room. Paneling is too beautiful to paint but needs to brighten. I would strip that mantle, would be gorgeous ❤❤ love your videos

Everyone has different taste but I guess you should strip the paint from the fireplace and bring back the natural wood the same that you have on the window trims. Painting the walls a sage green is lighter than your inspiration color, then the room won't be so dark. You should try paint samples.
