creative ship transition ideas | after effects

hey guys, i'm tawny (she/her) and i edit random stuff on insta and tt! if you have any questions or requests, pls comment or dm me on insta :)
square format: 1080 x 1080
landscape format: 1920 x 1080
and a small note on tutorials - i probably won't be able to get around to making tutorials for all of the transitions simply because they take up a lot of time. however, if you have any questions on how i did something, or if you dm me on insta, i'd be glad to send a short video explaining the transition!
youtube is very much secondary to the actual edits i make, which is why all the transitions i post here are just taken out of the original edit. i don't need credits if you use any of these, i just hope they help!

how do you add that clean white line around the cube at :50 ?

right click on the precomp -> layer styles -> stroke, and then if you click the arrow next to the precomp, go to layer styles, and then you can adjust the settings of the stroke to make it white and whatever size you want :)

does the edit look clean and somewhat bright, is that a coloring or an effect to make it look that way?

probably! my colorings switched a few times in this bc they're all different edits, but one of them also uses cc light sweep :) for a faint glow, i usually add bcc film glow so that might be it as well
