Even though this review is old, I still look back to it as the perfect example of a good comparison/review. It put the cameras through their paces rather than just going "look at this pretty video on a nice sunny day!" and it focuses on the audio as well, which most reviews seem to ignore completely. It also showed me when I was shopping for a low budget camera to look at different footage in different lighting conditions and other situations than just some jamoke shooting flowers in the sun.

***** can't wait until someone stop this stupid trend and increase the performance and battery life
@hoangtran47369 жыл бұрын
by performance, i don't only mean speed, i also mean the phone's life span. software-wise, most phones are out of date in just a few years, and after 5 years, most phones are probably obsolete already. and batter-wise, why on earth would anyone want a phone that can go for a few hours top without having to recharge. and because most phone batteries nowsaday are lithium-ion battery, their ability to hold a charge degrade after about 600 cycles. if you're just use your phone for calling and messaging, you'll probably charge your phone once a day, that should get you a battery that last about 3 years (2 years before it started degrading and another 1 year after it started degrading). but i use phones for almost everything when i a, not at home, i charge my phone 4 times a day, my battery only lasts 8 months (5 months before degradation and another 3 months after) (not to mention some d**khead company that wouldn't allow you to change the battery yourself and make you buy a new phone or go to a phone repair shop). and finally, making phones thinner, though it makes the phone more fashionable, also makes the phone more fragile. many phones nowsaday, if you drop them on to the floor from your chest, they would crack the screen or even damage the internal hardware. (oh and lastly, phones are technically computers (: ).

For some reason this review speaks to me, like it has some deeper significance. He introduces two gadgets with the same purpose; one sleek and stylish, the other chunky and childish. The sleeker one is cheaper, has a nicer screen, and all-around seems the better choice. The chunky brute records considerably higher-quality video- a message that things which seem expensive yet underwhelming might just be expensive for good reason, and aesthetics and presentation can be a sloppy cover-up for a poorer overall product. Then he invalidates the entire review with an extremely legit and obvious suggestion, which has only become truer with age.

You don't need an extension, but it would be a wise precaution. One little bump and you can easily snap off the flip's usb connection. The creative vado's is much more flexible but can also be damaged if bent too much.
