I'm so curious about this recipe! I need to try a tiny batch. I wish I had kokum butter, but I'll have to substitute it, probably with cocoa butter and a touch of shea since I like how it feels.

Can one jar this instead of making these bars? Thank you so much for the recipe ❤
@CreativeBathLab29 күн бұрын
Great question but NO! This body butter bar is specifically formulated to be a naked bar, so it doesn't need packaging. It's too hard to put in a jar. I suppose you could try it in a twist up container or something but it's not formulated for that either

What about packing these in mini-deo twist-up containers? That's how I normally package my body butters, making it easy to transport in a purse and use without getting any on your fingers or hands.

Hi. I love your channel. I have been experimenting with trying to make a body butter bar that emulsifiers. I can't seem to get the ratios right. I wonder if adding ewax as a percentage of the Stearic Acid would do the trick. Beeswax is sooo sticky. After applying the balm, I'd like to be able to just add a few drops of h2o to just help with rub in.

Once you add water, you must add a preservative to prevent growth of mold, yeast, and bacteria that can cause skin infections, or worse if they get in through a cut or scrape on the skin.

Dora, I made 1 body butter so far and loved it. I would like to copy your idea and recipe. I will give you credit in my video. The one I made was my first time, so I stuck with simple - but this looks so much easier than the one I made lol. How did the confetti and sprinkles feel when you rubbed it in?
@CreativeBathLab29 күн бұрын
They feel drier/harder than the actual bar but they're still usable
@AuntieTrizaАй бұрын
Just wondering if you used Butter Pearls in any of your testers for this? Also, would you change up the oil/stearic ratio for different climates to help the bar stay solid?
@CreativeBathLab29 күн бұрын
This recipe is absolutely perfect with ANY butter or oil. Start here, then tweak ratios to get what you want.

Dora when molding, when you poured before adding the stick, how did the hole in the mold where the stick goes not leak? I have the same mold and filled mine and the hole is leaking. Im using cocoa butter instead of kokum. What am i doing wrong? Any suggestions?

10% Is a whole lot of fragrance you put in there for a leave-on product! Maximum is usual 2%
@CreativeBathLab28 күн бұрын
Fragrance is optional (like it says in description). I covered this topic in my FRAGRANCES GUIDE. Before you call me out, make sure you know what you're talking about - unless you're trying to look ignorant - bc in fact you are wrong. There isn't a "usual" usage rate as all fragrances have varying usage rates and also "2% max"? You obviously pulled that out your ass trying to appear knowledgeable. Your opinions aren't facts. I was going to gracefully concede that 10% is on the high side and leave you looking like you had the slightest clue, but since you got an attitude, it's time for a lesson. Now everyone can learn the same info that you're so sorely lacking. School is in session! {taken from my tutorial, "A Guide to Fragrance Oils!"} "When buying fragrances for bath products, purchase scents that are skin safe and paraben/phthalate free. Purchase fragrances with higher usage rates. I usually add about 5% fragrance in total. So, buying a 3% max FO wouldn't work. Check the IFRA (International Fragrance Association) certificate for each fragrance; you'll find detailed information & percentages listed for each category. IFRA CERTIFICATE EXAMPLE (this is an example as usage rates vary with each fragrance oil) Category 4: Perfume - max usage level of 35.80% Category 5a, 5b, 5c: Leave-on body products like lotion - max usage of 3.73-10.80% Category 9: Rinse off products such as soap and body scrubs - max usage of 16.80%" Category 10a: Household cleaning products - max usage level of 16% Category 10b: Room sprays - max usage level of 44% Category 12: Wax melts and candles - which are not limited

Thank you for your explanation. But I really don't understand why it has to be this harsh and rude...
