Of all the people I have watched react to this, you're the first person who noticed Scott handling the bass will Matt was in the spotlight. AND Matt's slide into bass at the end. Matt and Scott are as much of a powerhouse duo as Matt and Kevin are!

I personally see Matt as such an amazing addition to the lineup..he's bubbly, goofy, INSANELY talented, and he has the sound and training for their sound. Just like Avi was a perfect match for PTX at their start, the baton has been passed gracefully and Matt is the perfect match for PTX as they journey onward. Matt really showcases his talent in their rendition of "you're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!", so please react to that one!

Yes, I fell in love with Matt after I saw him take the lead in "Mr Grinch".

His vocal range on that song is incredible, to the point of making a chest voice A4, which is even difficult for Scott (baritone), now imagine for Matt (Bass).

I love Matt but I so miss Avi. I wish he would come back for cameo's every once in a while.
@sersastark2 жыл бұрын
@@Fairburne69 where Avi is now is completely different from where PTX are. And while I'm sure they keep in touch regularly, they're both on parallel paths that may not cross again for quite some time. At least not until it works out for both Avi and PTX. I'd like to see it, though..to see and hear all SIX of them do a song or three together. That would be...magic.

Matt was indeed a great addition. Not only for his vocal skills but for the quality of his humanity. Finding one person who is at the very top of what they do, AND are humble is rare. To have 5 in the same group, it’s unmatched.

THIS was the song that made me fall in love with Matt's voice. SOOOOO RICH!! Every time I hear this one, his voice gives me chills. Scott is amazing as well... he has a large range and a really smoothe timber. They're ALL so good in this one, but Matt's part always, ALWAYS leaves me wanting MORE of him. LOL. Can we talk about the vocal perc/beatboxing for a minute? He DRIVES this piece. That perc is what keeps the piece MOVING. SO well done. Also, this is the version of the song that I felt like it FINALLY put the emotion into this piece that it has needed for years. (I like Disturbed's version just as much, but this one I feel puts the kind of emotion into it that the original SHOULD have had.) Don't come for me please. I mean no disrespect to the original either, it's just that the other two covers hit harder for me. That's all. ☺️

Thank you for reacting to this amazing Pentatonix video. Glad that you enjoyed it. I appreciate you for giving Matt proper respect. He is incredible. It is irritating when reactors (and others) can't let go and ignore the fact that Avi chose to leave Pentatonix in 2017. Matt has been with Pentatonix for 4 years and he is a ray of light in the world and a very talented artist.

Appreciate the details you mention... especially Mitch's diction to emphasize consonants. Most often, singers are taught to 'sing on the vowels' which is not wrong. It's just another dimension Mitch adds to his voice - countertenor with superb chest voice, to my ear. But everyone in the group has an amazing range. Thanks for this reaction and analysis.

When they sang the word 'sound' at the end, it makes me feel and visualize a light summer rain where the rain is warm, the raindrops are tiny but there are so many that you end up getting soaked. At the same time, the sun is out. That type of rain is almost cleansing. It feels like it can wash away the intensity of strong energy. Such a phenomenal choice to end a song with such strong, intense vocals with that light, cleansing sound.

All the people who criticize Matt are people who can't handle or accept change in their own lives. They're a total mess.
@susansisson366 Жыл бұрын
As much as I loved Avi, his baseline personality seems rather gloomy and difficult. Matt is a bubbly, charming, and extremely positive person, and he's never afraid to be silly. Many have said it, but the truth of the matter is that he fits with the group much better than Avi. And as beautiful his voice, I've never been as enchanted with Avi 2.0. He's become a Tennessee hillbilly, full of grievance and confrontative masculinity, but then, perhaps I just haven't seen enough of his work to understand it better. I sure loved the opera singer that he once was and might have been.
