Before I saw your video I had purchased Scaler 2. I can't say enough how useful this plugin is, especially for me, a drummer with little knowledge of chord progressions, scales, etc. I like how the software helps you select and modify chords, and then trigger them with a single key. This allows me to actually "play" piano or other VST keyboard chords on my track. I also have purchased the basic version of Ozone 9 elements, and may consider upgrading to the full version. As for drums, I am a Superior Drummer 3 guy, in large part because its drum replacement software really makes it very easy to convert my playing into MIDI, edit that MIDI, and use Superior Drummer's vast libraries of vintage drum recordings.

This video introduced me to Addictive Drums 2. Bought some of these sounds a couple days ago on BF. It' has great quality and the AD Packs are super useful for putting different genres in the right context. Thank you!

For anyone wanting to save a further few bob, the Arturia stuff is cheaper even more if you can crossgrade something in your Arturia account.

Pretty much agree with your choices. Once you've shelled out on these, you've pretty much got most of what you'll ever need.

Okay, I got the Addictive Drum pack because of this video (and the sale). Despite watching your video, I didn't realise how much I was getting for the money until I had to sit down and select all the add-ons I wanted.

Nice list. I'm considering getting Addictive Drums, but having a great deal of fun playing with BreakTweaker Expanded at $9.99 (You just can't beat that price).

Hey man, I’m around half way through the “Record, mix and release” series and I got to wondering, is there anyway you could make a video on how you go about writing a song? How do you come up with Guitar, bass, drum parts etc? How do you go about writing lyrics? Loving series so far 👍

Just picked up the izotope music production bundle for £250. I'm blown away by nectar and ozone. Neutron and neoverb. All of them are just such a good starting point and the masking view on each is fantastic. Bargain

Completely agree. I use Neoverb the most of any reverb. Enjoy!

I grabbed Arturia's V collection and their FX collection over the weekend. I was lucky to have a crossgrade offer with my account which meant that V8 was $199 and the FX were $99. That's $300 with the added option of splitting into 4 interest free payments. I wouldn't normally be doing 'financing' or 'rent to own' or subscription etc but with Arturia it is literally a choice of the full amount upfront or 4 interest free payments.

If You are into 80's slick music, don't miss the orangetree samples 35% off on their Famous 'model E' Fender Rhodes ! sampled by Jay Graydon, used massively by David Foster among others in the early 80's....

Oh yeah.. Last year I saved allot of money on some hardware that is in use for everything from making music, to playing games and watching videos.

And scalar2 is brilliant. I paid less than that but they just improved the guitar view and I would pay that price any day. Grab a trial

Hey Mike, love your videos! Maybe one on how to use the 'standard" Arturia sounds in Cakewalk, or point me in the right direction? I have an Arturia Minilab MKII but can only seem to use the sounds in the Analog lab....obviously I'm missing something, lol!

Oh how I love to shop. I'm thinking of getting, oh dear, most of these. I assume that if you get a new computer you can either copy files across or redownload plugins?
@CreativeSauce2 жыл бұрын
Yes, some things I make a local backup. But some things it's just as easy to re-download everything. Especially when they use thier own downloader and installer.
