With regards to the people making rude comments, I read a quote somewhere that has helped me a lot with critics. "If you wouldn't ask advice from someone, why do you listen to their criticism?". It's true, why give someone you don't know or don't respect that kind of power over you? They aren't worth it. Happy Sunday, Robin!

Like so many, am abundantly grateful for your numerous experiences, tips, warnings and information for Full time RVing. Just bought your book at 70% off is a steal!! I'm 55, single and my youngest is just moving out on his own. With an empty nest it's time for me to go nomadic. Was a full time youth pastor for Mega churches for 25 years and intend to take ministry on the road. You inspired me. Your insights have proven invaluable. Just want you to know we all appreciate you. Stay safe, be well and may the Lord bless you in this journey.

Happy Sunday! The produce behind you is beautifully distracting! Seriously, it's gorgeous. Also, I absolutely love that you have shared your book at 70% off. I have purchased the book for full price and am glad to do so, but I love that you create opportunities for people to get your book discounted for a period of time, in case they can't afford the full price. You're a doll and have learned the value of what goes around comes around. This small (big!) action will produce faithful followers and will most certainly return benefits to you (although I know it is not your intent to benefit from this.) I'm still watching your video, but had to stop and comment because those cherries, apples and carrots were killing me!

Jeffrey is always there and walks me through whatever issue I'm having thru voice messenger, videos, text, email or call. Well worth the small price to have him on speed dial and saves tons of $$ on mobile repairs! Hope this helps, Robin! Happy trails...

Great episode!! Another option that I never hear of when folks are thinking about selling their home and going full time.... is to put everything in storage and rent your home for 6 months or a year. And if renting out gets you a positive cash flow.. there is some monthly cash flow for your travel expenses! That way, after traveling a while you may decide full time is for you and you want to go ahead and sell everything or else you may decide you like the security of a home base and it’ll still be there waiting for you. I just highly recommend if you decide to rent out that you work with a good professional property mgmt company or else be sure to fully qualify a tenant by checking their credit and references at the very least and get a background check if you feel so inclined. I too have Sprint for my main carrier and use Visible on an older phone of mine while traveling. Because Visible is a monthly pay as you go provider I activate it for the months I travel and let it expire (so that I don’t have the monthly Visible expense) when I am not. That works well for me. Thanks Robin. I love your Sunday Q&A’s!!! And PS... love the t-shirt... it reminds me of my grandmother’s warnings about spooning....and what could happen....way back then when she was probably in her eighties and we were teens. LOL!!

Boy, me too. I wanted this home in the country all my life, but neighbors changed...not good at all, fires, radical and militant neighbors, my church went radical and list their Biblical way...the virus...i cannot even walk outside or even watch TV due to the constant rackett. After 2 years of this neighbor craziness, i have had it. We are busting out of here. People ask where we will go...not a clue yet. I just say, to see the Country, why not? I am in my 70s, better go now. Then i can find a place for my son, with Downs, for when i have to make that change. This is certainly not the place for him. I wonder if there are other people nomading with dependent adult children?

Aside from the whole video (your videos are jam-packed with great info), 14:00 - 14:55, yes check repair people out thoroughly. It increases your chances of getting quality repairs, and also of not being ripped off, or worse. 15:15 - 15:30 yes! The time to look up and make a list of helpful forums and other resources is before you need them. Have as much information at the ready as you can, before problems arise. You can't cover every single thing, but doing this makes you familiar with the feeling of being pro-active, which helps keep a lid on panic when something goes wrong. Panic makes everything worse. We need to calmly assess the problem to the best of our abilities, and if we need outside help, we can calmly find it. Or as calm as we can be under pressure. I think that before you leave one spot to go to another, you should research mobile mechanics and other resources in that area before you even turn the key to leave you current spot.
@TheLakingc4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reminder, and yes, it is easy to panic and not remember anything! We went on our first long trip last summer.only 5 hours away from home at a WalMart, some employee comes running out saying my axles were bent and bearings shot. It made noise from the equalizers, and normal creaking, but he scared me to death! I tried to reach our dealer. No one...left messages...no return call. I totally forgot i had 2 insurances and one was Good Sam! Well a few hours later, i just prayed again and decided he was nuts...we had a long safe trip. At our first campground, the ranger said everything looked fine. I learned a lot. Loved it, too!

I've been using Visible for about 9 months and really like it. There's a couple hitches that are important to mention. It only works on Verizon 4G towers. If you are in an area with 3G or 2G (and yes, 5G) it won't work. Bummer. But, it works almost everywhere we've roamed so far from Arizona to Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and Washington! Lastly, you can only share the hotspot with one device at a time. Last, you have to make sure your phone is compatible with their network. Thanks for your great advice, Robin!

There is not a possibility of being on the road, I am all for minimizing my life so that I can " be free" at my non-mobile home.🏠 The person who ask about a quick exit may have had natural phenomenon ( tornado,earthquake, flash flood) in mind. Getting ready to switch to Visible...thanks for that! I just purchased the Verizon, unlimited hotspot which was not unlimited....what a crock! Well, I’m not completely nomadic yet, but I’m working on it. I do have my eye on the ball though. Keep it real!

Great video as usual. Thanks for all the hints and tips. I agree - being mobile is worth the adventure. Though I don't have an RV - (hope to soon) but I worked as Travel RN for 3 years - sold most of my stuff and put rest in storage. I then went to several jobs - to work as Travel nurse. The company provides furnished apartment somewhat close to the hospital I would work at. I loved the adventure - the benefits outweighed the negative. I hope to get an RV next year and hit the road. Won't be totally RV - as I have a house - but will rent it while I am away. Thanks . Sorry to hear that you get negative comments- guess there are all kinds of crazy people out there. I think what your doing is commendable and your an inspiration to women everywhere. Take care and stay safe

Robin I thank you for all your help and I have been subscribed for awhile and have used many of your suggestions. My husband and I are full time rving and love the sound of using Visible so yesterday we spent over 6hrs trying to get this started. I just want to caution everyone we ran into a lot of issues. We found that are phones we were using and the old phone we had for the hotspot would not work with the Visible system. We then had to order new phones for each of us, setting up separate accounts and using different credit cards that was the only way it would let us do it. When we got to doing the phone for the hot spot we read we could use are old phone as a trade in for one of their phones for free, we ended up being charged $104.00 for that. We finally found out that since we had set up the accounts and purchased new phones that made us existing customers not new customers so no free phone. There were many other issues during the signing up, like it not excepting our address and asking us if we had another address we could use, and through all of this the only way we could get help was through chat or texting until I demand to talk to someone and they took our phone number and called this morning. I know this is getting long so I won't go into how hard it was to understand the person we were talking to, lets just say that my husband and I are know trying to figure out how to get out of this tangled web we got ourselves into. I am glad it has worked for others just want to caution others to be careful.

Just another thought-- you could create a spot where The Boy could go hide and think he is 'getting away with it" and you would know where he was.... win-win? Cats are awesomely creative-- like yourself! I think Himself would love his own little hidey hole... ;-)

Robin, I went full time last Monday. I am stuck in the heat in North Central Texas until my house sell closes on the 27th. I have research and planned this for over two years and now I am second guessing everything. Of course I am adding more added stress since I am doing this with a Class A and pulling a enclosed trailer with my motorcycles and no other vehicles. I am also doing it alone. So yeah second guessing it. I have start a KZbin channel to share so that may keep me from being so alone. BTW I have Visible and I hook up a little router to it so I can connect 4 items to it instead of just one item. I works great so far. Robin, thank you for all the info. Don

Congrats! I hope your closing goes smoothly and you can escape the heat. How do you hook your visible to a router?? Please explain. This is a revelation!
