@andych565 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's getting there. I don't sculpt in Zbrush anymore as Forger can get great results. I use Zbrush for polypainting and transferring the high res sculpt back onto a low res model once the UV's are done.

Wow this is amazing , it’s really cool to see what’s actually capable on this app when someone who is talented and has experience because I bought this app and I know nothing about 3D art so all I could make was a blob lol I need to learn and practice a lot more to get were ur at
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Frog Eye lol we all started with a blob so you’re doing great! Thanks for checking the vid out. I’ll be posting another one in the next few days with more steps to get to your finished product. Unfortunately (at the moment) Forger has some limitations with coloring your model. I’ve used another sculpting app (for the desktop only) Zbrush to colour my next sculpt. It’s only a matter of time before Forger can handle the entire process. But keep practicing and pay close attention to the details of the reference you use for your sculpts. Later, all that info will come back to you when you design your own creations.

That is so awesome!!! Congratulations!!! ... (Is it possible to paint texture and do the retopology in this app?)
@andych564 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yes Forger has an auto retopo function but you might be better doing it manually if you need your GEO perfect. Vertex painting is possible but it's a bit funky to use. You cant project by painting images onto your sculpt but you can apply a whole image to it which will wrap around depending on your UV's, and yes, Forger has an auto UV function as well.

amazing work. how to use texture while uesing stamp?
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks! If you make a black and white image that is square .eg (1000x1000) you drop it into your stamps folder of the Forger app. Anything that is white will be raised up and anything dark will be pushed down. Select your stamp tool and choose your image and click and drag over your sculpt.

is there any similar tool to the claybuildup from zbrush, with a square clay build up mode, and does the mesh loss topology if you stretch it to much?
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Godvitz yes there’s a clay brush which works in a similar way. I actually now prefer Forgers clay brush to the clay brush in Zbrush. And yes it’s the same as Zbrush unless you’re using sculptris. Soon Forger will have a dynamic mesh function but for now you need to block out your model fully before going into detail. Check out my tutorial Sculpting tips in Forger. I demonstrate a workflow and the clay brush.

When I import other obj files, the symmetrical drawing function disappears, how can I turn on the symmetry function? Thank you
@andych563 жыл бұрын
Check to make sure it’s enabled at the top of your screen with the x/x icon. If that doesn’t work you could try mirroring or resetting symmetry on your sculpt to reset the axis. Those options are in the drop down window of the x/x icon.

@andych565 жыл бұрын
Burak Dağ Hi, unfortunately Maya is only for the desktop. There is no lighting of rendering app on the iPad. I switched to a Surface pro for this reason. I needed the tools I use for work on a portable device. If you have a desktop you can DL Blender for free and light and render in it. Export your model from Forger and import to Blender.

Nice work pushing this app to see what is possible! I read that it is possible to import obj file, but I can’t figure out how to import a file. I also want to import some alpha textures but can’t seem to import those either. Any tips on how to do this?
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for checking out the vid. If you drop your .obj models into the Forger folder on your iPad they’ll appear in your file panel of Forger, then you can select and start sculpting. This is the same for your stamps or you can drag and drop them straight into your stamp window in Forger with a split screen. Make sure your stamps are square .eg 1000x1000px or they won’t be seen in Forger.
@mattconnelly93485 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Still having some issues importing obj file, but That worked for the texture maps!
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Matt Connelly sometimes if the topology isn’t clean Forger won’t import it. I have had troubles imports some models in the past. Just check there isn’t any overlap/crunching in the geo.

this is absolutely sick. i'm surprised this is possible on an ipad already. video deserves a lot more views. what size are the models in mb normally? do you think a 32 gig model is enough for only using this app and procreate to work with?
@andych565 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for checking out the vid. From memory, the model was about 100mb. And yes a 32gb iPad will be fine. The iPad has 4gb ram to handle the apps and the 32gb is space that's available for storage. If you run low on storage you can start uploading your models to the cloud. Now go create some awesome stuff.

max polygon count you can go for?
@andych564 жыл бұрын
Hi, It's a weird one coz the scene I'm working on now has 1801536 poly's and I had only 16% free ram. I've just opened the scene again and I have about 70% free ram. This might create some confusion to think you can add more sublevels. Its been at 1801536 and 16% free ram for awhile so I wouldnt push it based on todays reading.
