Amazing content! Incredible that you can achieve such a great result starting from an Ipad. I have especially loved to see the Cockatrice .... of as I call it.... (ok gonna leave it this time! :-))

It would be amazing if you could walk us through a simple process of importing, polishing, reducing the polygons,... in a free app like Blender. For non- 3d designers like me it would be a big help. I'm having same issues with all of my 3d models no matter Forger, gravity sketch or medium! :(
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
I can look at that. I love what Blender has done and since 2.8 I have had to sit up and take notice so I’ll look at adding some relevant videos. I know the sculpting tools in Blender but I stopped learning at that point. Grease Pencil is something I might focus on next

At end of video you mentioned that you didn't have to use Zbrush but in the middle you mention about bringing the model with high poly count into Zbrush and using Decimation Master . Which one is it ? Did you or didn't you bring your Forger sculpt into Zbrush to lower the poly count ? Is there a way to do this without having to bring into Zbrush ?

#ForgerFriday this week is taking a model from Forger to print and even where it can all go wrong - watch to the end to see our epic fail!!! Let me know what you think.

Hi Could you tell me if this package could be used for jewellery design. I have seen zbrush but don’t have a pc powerful enough but I do have an iPad. This package looks ideal.
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I’ll try and do a video to show some of the techniques. I would S all all my basic models in another program first and then use them to sculpt on.

hello is there any poly modeling software for ipad that is any good? forger seems to be the only ok app for suculpting.
@SouthernGFX4 жыл бұрын
There aren't really any low poly tool apps. Shapr is great for CAD based modelling and as you say Forger and Nomad are two that are good for Sculpting.

Are you able to design a full figure to sit on a 32mm base???? I am into blood bowl game and was just wondering how hard it would be to create a figure using this software and being able to print the design out ???? I am looking into buying the app and trying to design a full team. if you have any links to stuff you may have already done I would love to be able to watch the video. cheers
@SouthernGFX3 жыл бұрын
You can easily. But I'd switch to Nomad Sculpt from Forger as it has more cutting and trimming tools which help. Search Nomad Sculpt and you will find loads of examples. I used to play Blood Bowl the first time round and I absolutely loved it. I want to do a Sculpt and 3DPrint course on exactly the subject you are asking for.

been looking and possibly make a jump to resin, looked at Uncle jessy, but the peopoly is a bit much for my first I think, sure you also had a elegoo mars (correct me if im wrong), looking at creating miniatures, and later possibly for casting, do you think elegoo mars be ok to start?, cheers, keep up the good work :) ps, using shapeways for now (metal printing, mainly), but want more control of initial print myself :)

You won't go wrong with an Elegoo Mars. They are super easy to use and maintain and i personally love the Elegoo resin

Hi is there a 3D slicing software I can slice STL files on a iPad Air .?

Not sure.. I’ll research. I use chitubox on the pc now.

I have an ender 3 printer and I am able to use astroprint to slice on my iPad. Astroprint is all web based so honestly you can slice on anything with a web browser, and it can be used for free.

Thank you for these videos!.. I'm having a bit of trouble with sculpts based on the bust template on forger. When I try to export it and load onto different softwares it doesnt load due to geometry errors ( I think because the bottom of the bust is open? ) i would appreciate your insight on this. Please keep up the awesome videos!
