He played on the Gleason Show when I was a child, was very strange seeing your dad on tv..he used to play with sammy davis, jr. when he performed in Baltimore, and transposed all of Sammy's music to the key he was singing.I chose the name "Grammy" because I love so much (as a grandmother name, lol)...I went to one of my son's this week and my grandson had made me a "lego" gramophone..lol

@@hunkhk Thank you my friend. Time heals all wounds they say, I suppose it is true. I read somewhere recently that 40% of men in the US never have intamacy with a woman, I find that so sad. I had it for 22 years and it was wonderful. I was very lucky. Laura used to tell our kids that it wasn't normal for couples to spend as much time together as we did, most people need a break form each other sometimes. She was 9 years younger than me, at our cores we were the same, but different in a lot of ways too. We taught each other our stuff, we both loved music and movies, when I came home from work, she would be excited to show me something that I hadn't experienced, or that she knew I was looking for. Idiocracy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Running With Scissors, The Dewey Cox Story, a video clip of Elvis Costello on SNL playing So Like Candy ( not available anymore anywhere sadly ), etc. etc. When I met her, I was engaged to be married to another woman, but after spending a little time with her, I knew I had to be with her. There were a lot of guys who were interested in her at the time, but they were wussies who couldn't pull the trigger because they were probably intimidated by her dominant personality. Their loss, my gain. We were equals in our partnership, she never even took my last name, and I didn't care, she wasn't my property. She didn't care either, and even got the forms to do it once, but didn't, no big deal. Sorry for the giant post. The good memories your reply brings to me are a pleasure. Cherish what you got while you can, you never know when someone important to you will drop dead at 44. She was an organ donor and saved a few people's lives, I'm proud of her for that. Be well.

Now after all these years and being an old buzzard I prefer the original but Costello does this timeless classic justice, in the year of 2018 when Charles died. Thank you for the memories!

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone ranked Costello number 80 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Halo tu Polska, my też znamy i doceniamy tego typu perełki:).

Édith Piaf, and Charles Aznavour would be side by side with HUGE grins of pride at this performance. Top class right here.
