If it's a remake like BDSP I'm officially never buying anything pokemon-related ever again. I've literally played these games since I was 5 (I got crystal when it released). I've given this franchise so much money over the years, despite their really shitty business strategy of leaving edging and always disappointing their consumers. If they ruin the best generation with an out-sourced half-assed chibi remake then that's the final straw for me.

A standard remake for Black and White would be a waste of time. They do that, and then, what? Pretend Black 2 and White 2 don't exist? Black 3 and White 3 (future) and Legends Johto (past) is what I hope we get. A game set in the past and future would be perfect thematically for generation 9. And, as long as we revisit the Unova region and that lineup of Pokemon get attention, I don't think anyone will feel as if it didn't get adequate attention.

I don't think it's too early for a remake of Unova. It's been 14 years after all. But I do it would be weird to release a Unova game this year since it is the 25th anniversary of Johto this year. Next year it would be 15th anniversary of Unova and if we get a "exerimental" type of game for Unova, it would make more sense to release it next year (maybe Jan like Legends: Arceus).

If you make a game for someone else and get no liberty in deciding what goes in it and what not, how can you be blamed if it doesn't contain stuff people where hoping for? The game runs great, the graphics are clean (they didn't choose the style) and it has no clipping or other bugs. Why hate on Ilca then, if they did the job great they were supposed to do?

I honestly don’t care if ILCA makes another “faithful remake” of Gen 5. Diamond and Pearl needed changes that Platinum fixed, but the fact that they were Faithful to only Diamond and Pearl and barely included anything from Platinum. Black and White remakes need very little changes from the original games. I even didn’t mind the fact that it was only new Pokémon because while I’m not a fan of all of them, I like most of them, and can definitely use a lovable team of 6.

Pokémon Black White 3 might take place on the Decolora Islands which were never in the games which is why I think that Pokémon Colosseum 3 game could be based outside of the Unova Region which would involve a completely different storyline which could help out with Gen 5 Sequel in the Future!

Honestly if you're new you could start off with like pokemon Arceus but it is hard to play and very challenging it was an experiment game like this but if you want a more simple one try pokemon sword and shield it is fun also with the dlcs

Naw, your good. Triple & rotation battles are a thing, but if I remember correctly they're not a regular thing, there's a special building to go for them as a daily event I believe. They've been pretty consistent with retconning the fairy type onto Pokemon that existed prior to gen 6 in remakes, but I still don't recommend using the originals to prep for the remakes cuz of it

What I want from this showcase for mainline games: 1: remakes this year on the switch. Either gen 2 or 5 I'll take either. In a let's go or a modern full remake. Just want remakes. 2: a teaser for the next legends game for Q1 2025. I short cinematic teaser no gameplay because.... I want the next legends game to be on a switch successor meaning they can't tell us more until Nintendo confirms a new console. A teaser that just says Nintendo not the console leave it open to be on a new console. So when Nintendo announces a new console either for Q4 this year or Q1 next year then we can learn more about the next legends at a Nintendo direct following the console announcement. 3: 2025 pokemon day a detail look at the next legends game and gen 10 announced for that fall in the new console. As for spinoffs, I'm neutral. I'll play snap, unite, Pokken and others but I don't care for them much in terms of hype so if they skip that and focus on the 3 games I mentioned, I'm okay with it.

If this is a game made by an outside game developer it will most likely be a remake. Most of Pokémon’s experimental games have been in house at game freak and I doubt that will change here. If there’s an outside company working on a game I’d say it’s likely johto and it’s a full and accurate remake

Pokémon Black White 3 is most likely a Code Name which is most likely a game that hasn't gotten a Third one yet which Mystery Dungeon Game would be ruled out because there's to many of them and Pokémon Ranger games would be ruled out too but it might not technically based in Unova Region! Unova Paradox could be a Pinball game which would be really fun to play!

IMO, I still believe that Paradox Unova =/= Futuristic Unova. Futuristic Unova would essentially just be BW3, which seems unlikely unless they remake the OG BW games. This is also what Khu was implying when he put Paradox Unova, Legends Unova, & BW3 as separate poll options. If Paradox Unova was BW3, why have them as 2 separate poll options? If they just made BW3, folks who started playing Pokemon on the Switch & never played the OG BW games would be out of the loop in terms of the original story. Also, Indigo Disk already filled in the role of Modern Unova. I do agree that it will be some kind of experimental game, but closer to Let's Go rather than Legends in terms of the story. Not a Sequel or Prequel, but a Reboot.

A love letter to Unova would be like a point against a Unova remake. I think a lot of people have heard about a Unova remake being made by a 3rd party but that doesn't mean it's gonna be at this pokemon presents. Unlike mainline pokemon games spinoffs can take more time to cook if there isn't some big merch line tied to it like Legends Arcus just had what like 1 booster set in the TCG. It's very possible Unova game is being developed, is still being developed and won't be out till next year or the year after. I think we'll be getting a Jhoto game still personally.
