These credits make me cry, this was the first game I ever owned, came out a year before I was born and I still have the cartridge of the game, playing rainbow road to sit through this will always make me cry and it will never stop, thank you Nintendo for my second favourite childhood racing game, number 1 being Need for Speed Hot Persecute(2010).

Just played Mario circuit on MK8 DX. So nostalgic. I miss the simpler times. In 2013, I got my first ever Nintendo DS. That Christmas of that year, I got a Nintendo 3DS. What a year.

I’ve never touched a DS nor this game, but this theme is still very emotional for me. I can imagine.. having this game as your childhood staple, growing up with it, hearing this theme for the first time or years and years later… it would drive me to tears for sure. I may not fully understand how much this game means to people, but I can definitely understand what it’s like to hold a Mario Kart game close to my heart. 😊

I got MK ds in 2019 so I could do DS download to play with my camping friend. I remember the last few days of summer, like September 3rd or something a bit after labor day weekend, I heard this song for the first time and thought it was a pretty sad ending to a great summer, but later Id realize playing MKDS with him would be the last time I saw that friend. We kinda drifted and I haven't spoken to him since like Christmas of that year. I miss you, buddy.

I didn’t get this game when it came out, but I got Mario Kart Wii for my 11th birthday in 2008 and got so hooked it made me want to try all the older Mario Kart titles. I finally got this game a month after I got a Nintendo DS for Christmas in 2008. This song in particular makes me miss being in middle school in 2009

The first time I heard this song was after beating Chief Chilly in 2013, but I never got to listen the alternate version because I never completed Lightning cup in Mirror mode. Just remembered this song outta nowhere. My dad would always take me to work with him as a kid and this was a game I’d play all the time while he was in his laboratory. At the end of every Saturday, I’d always sit in the car playing it on the way home with a nice sunset in the background, and I’d damn near fall asleep to this beat while watching the clouds outside my car window when I was a child. This beat was so beautiful and has aged perfectly. It’s almost 20 years old and is pretty much perfect😋
