I 100% agree with your assessment here. At this point, I think with several of the Creed dupes, it really just comes down to how much money you can spend, and how important it is for you personally, to know you're wearing the real thing. I had a GIT sample a while back, and I own Tres Nuit, and again, I couldn't agree more...in the dry down, they were pretty much indistinguishable, and Tres Nuit lasted MUCH longer than GIT for me. In my personal case, hours longer. Finally, when we consider that the majority of the people out there, the ones outside our Fragcomm bubble, only think of 'With Arms Wide Open' when you mention Creed, they're going to have absolutely no idea that you aren't wearing the real deal.

No one is wrong, no one is right, it's all personal preference for what works for them!!! The most important thing for reviews is finding someone who has the same preferences as you not a 100 %, but this channel helps me as other selected channels do...

Never tried Tres Nuit but I've had two different decants of GIT from the same decanter, which exemplified some of the famous Creed batch variations. Differences were subtle but definitely noticeable. One emphasized the floral and green aspects, and the other had a more prominent ambergris note. Both smelled amazing. Definitely full bottle worthy, if I could justify spending ~$400 on a single bottle.

This is an underrated comment that explain the batch differences into two variations. I like original scent way more where the ambergris was prominent, however I don’t mind the floral green of the batches that followed of the newer batches. I did however got lucky and got a bottle of Aventus that had the same ambergris of vintage green Irish tweed with the aventus scent. So that’s an interest twist

Yes, holding the Tres Nuit bottle conventionally is awkward, but (for what it's worth) if you hold it with your fingers on the bottom and spray it with your thumb, it's much more ergonomic. 🤷🏻

Nice video Brian. I wear Le Parfait more than Tres Nuit, Cool Water, or my GIT decant and GF liked it better as well. With the Armafs I have I get more compliments than the OGs mainly because of projection. That said there are destinctions that unless you wear fragrance constantly your brain never detects. Scent is a trained sense. I've worn GIT and when asked, gotten the response "is that old spice?"lmao. That's why I believe fragrance is more for the wearer. Anyway be well Fam!

@@ErenYeager-uy8ej it's an edt and I get moderate longevity and projection you can also over spray and not choke anyone out, just make sure you use moisturizer and Vaseline for the hot point neck behind the ears etc.. and your good!.

I also hate old spice, yet creed viking is high on my purchase list. It's one of the best scents I've smelled. If I would have blind bought a full bottle of aventus or viking before sampling, I wouldn't have been disappointed at all. Clones frankly don't come close from anything ive smelled from creed. They come close in overall scent profile/sillage but the quality just isn't there.

Great video Brian. Love your breakdown. I love GIT. I’ll always have a bottle. But TN is an absolute solid replacement. I actually put on TN after I started watching this video. It smells amazing for the price, actually much, much but better than I’d expect for the price. The only thing I’d add, is that I get really good performance from GIT. It lasts 8-10 hours on me. Maybe I’m just lucky,.Loved the video. Oh, and Cool Water isn’t even in the same ballpark to me. I know it’s the same perfumer, but they have more differences than similarities to me.

I bought Creed Aventus and then I saw everyone in forums talking about CDNI. I bought it out of curiosity, got way more attention and positive reactions than my bottle of Aventus 😒 GIT, the opening always made me sick but after finding out about Armaf and checking out Trea Nuit in a fragrance store, I liked it a lot more since it didn’t have the “just cut the yard” nose assault.

I haven't smelled GIT in a long time, but I own both Aspen and Tres Nuit and can tell you they're very different. Not sure which of the two you own, but, IMO, they're both worth owning, especially when you consider the cost.

Got GIT on maxaroma for $210 after some promotion. Got this is after smelling in Bloomingdale’s, so damn good. Idc what the others smell like, this is a masterpiece. I feel things when I smell this fragrance! That’s just me though, thanks for the vid

Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight is a better dupe for GIT, last longer and better blended. Most of Armaf perfume is hit and miss!

I am definitely not a Creed fan boy, but I will admit when something is good. I was in Nordstrom a couple months back and finally smelled the original green Irish tweed. I have to say I was blown away because I could actually smell the quality ingredients, it just smelled extremely well put together and refined. The sales associate was kind enough to give me several Creed samples including green Irish tweed. About a week later I wore the sample and while I did enjoy it it just did not perform at all. I’m talking 2 1/2 to 3 hours and this thing was gone. Only really projected off of my skin for about 20 to 30 minutes. The scent is somewhat dated but I could definitely overlook that because the quality is there, but the performance is so bad that I can’t justify spending that kind of money. The only fragrance I’ve spent a lot of money on knowing knowing that performance was not good (I didn’t realize how bad it was) was MFK Amyris the original, but to that fragrance is so beautiful I’ll just keep reapplying.

Yeah Creed has lost their performance for sure, which is unfortunate. ARMAF are starting to give ‘em a run for their money! Amyris Homme isn’t a great one for longevity either, but damn it smells fantastic!!

Gets the job done is all I need in my life. I could afford a 400 dollar bottle, but I would feel like a moron buying it. Especially when it can be duplicated. Its that assets and liabilities section in accounting class for me. Armaf has always gotten me compliments on how I smell. In fact I'm known to be a good smeller. And I have like 5 bottles of Armaf stuff...lol I only get shamed when some one asks what I'm wearing... It probably would make me a little prouder to saying something like Creed, then they go look for it and say $&#@! That stuffs 450! I feel like what are you wearing is such a personal question anyway. Anyone got a nice way to not answer that when someone ask?

if you want some good choices for GIT tres nuit is okay fades kinda quick to me and syntheric to me other people prefer Haramain L'Aventure Knight or Michael Malul Visionair but can be off putting to some in the opening. I personally like the new Haramain amber oud carbon it is a better version in quality projection and longevity than there older L'Aventure Knight. All of the amber oud's line is great from the bottle to the juice.

Tres unit isn't bad, I prefer git myself. To my nose it seems more of an inspired by cologne then a 1 to 1 clone. There are some similarities and also very noticeable differences. What's weird is on my friends skin it smells almost exactly like git. On my skin it smells like a similar but very different scent. I do like tres nut but it's not in my top 10. One cheap fragrance from aramaf that surprised me, I don't know if it's a clone or even if it resembles any other cologne it's awesome as a stand alone in my opinion called niche oud by aramaf. It's definately a cold weather fragrance. And for the price if your a fan of amber fragrances I highly recommend trying it.

Hi Brian, the only reason I haven't purchased Tres Nuit is because after sampling GIT I purchased Al Haramain's L'aventure Knight. It is super close to the original in so many aspects that I stuck with that one for a few months. Until my friend gave me such a great compliment on the clone that I gifted the remainder of my bottle. He still rocks it to this day! 😂 Instead of replacing the Al Haramain fragrance, I purchased Michael Malul Visionair which is also a very good GIT clone but with a more earthy dry down imo. I would definitely recommend either if you haven't sampled them. 👍
