The interviews with the musicians are very telling about how appreciative they are in having worked with him and what it did for their careers. Ron Carter, bassist, is particularly moving in what he says about everyone he recorded with on the albums, and calls Jobim's "Stone Flower" and "Wave" albums PERFECT and their music PURE.

Creed Taylor was one of my dad's roommates and bandmates at Duke University. He came to my sister's wedding. Great guy.
