I received a copyright claim as soon as the video was uploaded but at least my channel did not get a strike for it.

Probably my favorite CCR song. I love that mid section too! I would have loved to hear them do it live.

I hear you man! The keys kick in in and then that guitar line comes in right after. I just discovered this about a year ago. Haunting.

I agree the rhythm section of Creedence is outstanding Stu Cook and Doug Clifford one of the best in all rock.

Creedence at their best. A great “Highway Song” I wish I could go back to 1970, put the headphones on and hear it for the first time. Better yet, the second time.... 😂

When I got my Cosmos Factory album (🤣 from Columbia House 🤣) back in 1970, I virtually wore that first track out, playing it over and over!

Absolutely THE best CCR song!! This is a total band performance - the tightness, the groove, the feeling. Must have taken a LOT of practice - especially the slow speedup in the jam section!! John's vocal & guitar work, Doug's drumming, Stu's bass playing - & lets not forget Tom's metronomic rth guitar playing (which was mixed too low in a lot of the later CCR stuff). Then there's John's ethereal guitar overdub & the piano by Stu or John (most likely Stu as he was the only one with piano playing experience.)

Yep, along with "Born On The Bayou," my favorite CCR song. I keep telling Alex and Andy that they need to review this one.

Hi Larry. Great video of a great song. It's always been one of my favorite CCR songs. It's such a strange coincidence that you chose to upload the video today. I'll try to explain. When I was a teenager back in the 70's I'd often go over to my best friends house in the Summer time as his parents would go out to their cabin at the lake and leave him to house sit. Being teenagers we'd of course ruthlessly raid his poor Fathers liquor cabinet. After about three or four rather potent beverages we'd get feeling in a party mood. He had two older brothers who had moved out by then. Fortunately for us they had left a decent selection of classic albums behind, one of which was "Cosmo's Factory". I remember my friend, who was a crazy fun loving guy much like you, would put on this song and dance around the living room to it like a crazy man. I was more laid back, so Id just lounge in the recliner and enjoy my drink. Here's the weird co-incidence part Larry. My friend passed away eight years ago today from a sudden heart attack at age 54. Watching this after getting home from work today made me smile and remember how much fun we used to have in those long gone days. I'm not generally an overly spiritual person, even though I can appreciate all the mystery and complexity of life, but seeing this today made me feel that sometimes the universe reminds us of the important things in life. Heartfelt thanks Larry. You made my day!

I don't know how I missed this video back in October, but it's awesome! You got me hooked on "Ramble Tamble" a few years back and every time I play it, I look just like you in this video!!! Someone always seems to walk in my room and look at me like I'm an idiot! XD You also get the credit for turning me on to "Heartbroken Bopper"! :)

Doug Clifford used Camco drums which were very rare and their signature sound is a part of ccr's sound.

Ramble Tamble sounds like a combination of three songs to me Larry,Who Do You Love,I Want You (She's So Heavy) and 1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be). Bob.

Gotta love CCR!! I have to say that I was one of the few who had NEVER heard that song before lol. It was great! Thanks for making this video & introducing me to this song 😀 I do still think Born On The Bayou is their greatest song but that's just my opinion 😋 Great tune Larry! 👍👍

Absolutely love this tune, but my favorite CCCR song has gotta be their massive cover of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine”. Side note, “I’m not an idiot, I’m just having fun.” This world needs more people with that attitude.

Here's the video I was talking about! They do a couple songs, and then you see them rehearsing the middle section to "Ramble Tamble"! You also get to see what their studio Cosmo's Factory looked like and where the album cover was taken! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJfOqn2el66Eps0

I heard it a thousand times . I read Fogerty's book but I so agree with you about Clifford . Years later as strong as Kenny was Clifford nailed " Born on the Bayou " 3rd verse ....the hesitation was perfect ! I love your critique !

For novice guitar players, this is an excellent track to jam to. It’s hovering around the D chord (DADGBE) tuning.

This CCR Masterpiece transcends its genre and takes it rightful place among the Masters like the works of Stephen Foster , George Gershwin , Stephen Sondheim , Glenn Miller etc. Yet it is still under recognized .

Wow! I´m not familiar with CCR, I only knew "Proud Mary" before watching this video and I found it quite boring. But this hit me right away, what an amazing song! And what an amazing reaction, Larry! Thank you! /PVS

To me the entire song is pure Creedence. I heard for the first time today on another ramble ramble video a reaction actually that one of the commenters said it sounds like the Beatles. First time I heard this In almost 50 years of listening to ccr. I never thought it sounds like the Beatles still don't. Sure now that you point it out I can see wear you coming from. But to me it's pure ccr.

It was like the Beatles said, “We’re the greatest!” and John Fogarty said, “Really? Have a listen to this.” By the way I commented before you made your comments about the Beatles! Great to see that I may not have been wrong for 50+ years!
