You inspire me and my 15yr old; we love creek fishing ourselves (we live in Des Moines, Iowa). We actually went yesterday and got 3 nice catfish. We found your channel looking for fishing in Florida and I immediately subscribed. Hope to stop in Tennessee on the way back home. Keep up the good work. God Bless.

At least you came out of it upright brother. Spent a scorcher Monday morning and I had the headache at noon. Got some hydration and it went away quickly. Yum Dingers and Senko to the rescue but the Beetle Spin bite was on fire for the dinks. Glad you had fun and fellowship. Tight lines

Ha, always enjoy your vids. Never think of you as a "tournament" fisherman Think of you as more about relaxing and walking along creeks. Kinda cool watching you fish in the tournaments. Thanks for sharing.

Hey John. I found something interesting on my last outing. The bite was not on so I started experimenting. I took a Nikko leech and hooked it with a Trout Magnet 1/64 oz jig head. When I retrieved it, it swam just a few inches beneath the surface. When I stopped, the leech slowly began to rise to the surface. My original thought was that the light jig head would make the leech slowly sink, but it seems just the opposite happened
@thecreekcrawler3 жыл бұрын
The Nikko baits are buoyant so if you have light enough jigheads they should slowly sink or slowly rise! That sounds like a killer combo! Sometimes those fish love a suspending or slowly rising lure!

Regardless of your place, I’ll bet you had a great time. I fished yesterday on a small lake near me with my brother. Very hot. But, we caught four nice sized bass and had a great time. Your videos do inspire me to get out.

I was hoping you would get in that tourniment with Justin. although using a bait you're confident in is a normal eaction, I would've liked to see you mix it up. a wacky worm or a crawldad swimbait may have been better. Love ya John

Yet another prior made missing post on this video. I periodically look back to see if you replied and when I don't find my post, it irks (time waster). I obviously do not hold you responsible. I just find it curious why certain posts of mine just disappear. Maybe it's my use of certain # (thumbs up) and emojis that trigger big tech? Don't know but letting you know again that it is happening.

Hard day of fishing, but at least you tried. My daddy always told me that I would never accomplish anything if I didn't at least try ! Making new friends is always good. You've got to come up with a better way to measure your catch without letting them get away !!!! You are a smart man, you can design a new product ... (and market it !) Better luck next time ! All us viewers will be waiting. GOD BLESS.

Maybe a lil help with those fish wanting to jump off the board. Dip your board in the water first, elevate the tail end of the board a little with the bump end down. Try to keep the fish in the water in the net until your ready for the pic, then take it off the hook.
