Wow, you're on one of my lakes now! So glad you came up to this tourney. I understand the rain, you must always watch for the storms! They blow up fast on that lake. lot's of good fishing there. Where you close to Sycamore Creek? Great content for this video, plus known territory! Love it !

John as far as sleeping in the truck you just stretch out on the back seats? Being 6'4" it must be tight. Is it less comfortable than you Suburban? At least in your truck with the cap you could stretch out. Of course that time you got soaked wasn't too much fun.

Please keep a sharpening stone on you. they have a divit on both sides. just make 2 passes on both the outer part of the hook and 2 on the edge of the barb. you will stick more fish. Most people have no idea how fast hooks get dull being dropped or bounced around in trays and tackle boxes.

Hey brother love your thrill it's really cool to see you having a great time two things to share with you from my many years of fishing that also included many Bass tournaments. The first thing is a "What is a sharp hook"? If your hook will dig into your fingernail it is sharp if it slides across put the hone to it.The second thing is that you might be setting the hook too quick that was the hardest thing for me to learn about worm fishing was to drop the rodtip for a second before setting the hook.

ADD side tip. A 20oz Gatorade bottle makes an awesome can cover in the rain. Just cut it a little below the neck where it levels out to the sides and slip it over the can.

Your hook sets are real short. You are not transferring enough energy to the hook to drive it home. I use 7.5 foot rods in my yak and make really big sweeping hook sets to make it permanent.

Ditto, what Stan Webb says !! Plus a skirted jig has a much bigger hook. It requires a lot more speed and force to drive the hook home..When the fish eats the jig, let the fish have it a couple seconds, reel down (rod low as you can) and drive it home. KZbin a video about fishing a jig😁 you won’t regret it, and it’s way different than finesse hellgrammites, swim baits and ned rigs. Congrats on the big beautiful bucket mouth!!
