I left North Carolina 36 years ago on a work transfer. Moved to the Pacific Northwest with some great fishing. I got to enjoy some but not nearly enough of the fishing out here. I never missed North Carolina more than I have after watching this video. My favorite thing to do trout fishing in NC was hiking up the small feeder creeks where no one else would go. I used about a 4.5 foot rod so I could cast in the trees and shrubs. Almost like target shooting. Loads of fun. Thanks for all of your great work. Fish On!

Another great video John. Nothing like fishing after the stocking truck just left. All the brookies were from the hatchery. The rainbow you caught looked to be a wild trout.

Brother John! Great video! I've personally never seen so many Brook Trout caught in a video before. I think you set a new World Record! Of all of those Brook Trout, that you caught, none of them were what I'd call "Small". You caught some rather big Brook Trout there...and that first one you caught looked like it weighed at least 1 1/2-2 pounds. I've only caught one Brook Trout in my life, that was as big as that one. Ya got a couple of nice Rainbow Trout, too. I'd have to say that God really blessed you on this trip. I also appreciate the fact, that you took time to pray over your Trout, before you ate it. Have a great night, and get some sleep!

@CreekFishingAdventures WOWWW!!! I have always dreamed of going to a place with so many BROOK TROUT!!! Can't find any place like that in NJ. That Spinner looks so much like a Joe's Flies inline spinner. Except that the Joe's Fly has 4 hook points. I just think that maybe, if you were using a Joe's Flies spinner, you would be able to catch a lot of those short strikers. By the way, if you do decide on getting, I personally like the 1/8oz spinner with the muddler minnow fly. I like the 1/8 just because it sinks at a perfect speed and it takes truly minimal effort to get it spinning. I used it on the Ausable river in NY and caught some HUGE brown trout! GREAT VIDEO!!!!

To me inline spinner fishing is the best fishing! I’m actually trying to get myself setup so that I can start making my own inline spinners. I want single hook, treble hook, different weights, I gotta learn how to tie flies so I can install some flys on spinners for my little spinners. The real question is what’s the best universal weight for inline spinners? 🤔 gotta catch both big and small, be able to fish shallow and slightly deeper depending on retrieval, gotta not snag all the time

Nice Video John! I am a little Biased but think NC has the best fishing on the East Coast. The highest Mountains in the east with 10 over 6,000 feet with just miles and miles of trout streams , then some awesome rivers in the piedmont for Bass etc then just a crazy amount of Blackwater streams along the coast (with aligators up and down the coast) then just a crazy amount saltwater fishing. The only negative is our saltwater gets trampled by the trawlers.
