I love the way your fishing occasionally coincides with everyday life. I mean, your daily agenda could be... going to the store, gonna get some shoe strings, a gallon of milk, some windshield wipers for the truck, get a hair cut, fish the creek next to the Walmart for a couple hours, go home cut the grass........etc... 🤣lol... great video and creek fish!!

I live on a small clear spring-fed creek in central Alabama. You have single-handedly improved my catch ratio of bass to panfish. I catch more 12-16 inch bass than I have in the past after watching your videos and taking your advice. I don't really subscribe to many youtubers, but you've earned mine. Not many people really target these size fish, but I am glad to find a like-minded creek wader & kayaker who targets these creek bass.

Same as me. These videos re-taught me how to fish and was able to teach my daughter (7) how to fish. We learned on little urban creeks. We were able to learn a sport and have nature as a classroom all through quarantine. He does feel like part of the family now. Fishing got us through it. Take care.

The lure size part makes a perfect point. Depending on the weather, water temps and such, bigger fish aren’t going to waste the energy on smaller baits (most of the time). They will hit bigger stuff so they don’t have to feed as often.

I love seeing that Tennessee has clear water creeks like this, just like my home the hill country area of Texas. These types of creeks are my favorite spots for fishing because you don't need a boat and trailer, and you're typically covered by tree shade, combine that with the fact that you can throw on some crocs and wade along through the creek and it's the best way to beat the heat and enjoy the outdoors during the hot summer months.
@tennesseecreekangler96604 жыл бұрын
I use your tips and tricks all the time, and today it really paid off at the creek! I went to Wal-Mart and bought a bunch of Rebel baits (namely crickhoppers and craws/wee-craws) and caught 10 fish in under 2 hours. I can confirm the Rebel craw is just absolutely killer for creek smallmouth!

I carry a fishing rod and few lures with me everywhere I go no matter if I’m at work or going on vacation or a trip to see family I got at least one rod with me but a lot of time I’ll have 3 to 4 lol you just never know when you’ll come up on some water a pond, creek, river, or lake people will laugh at me cause I’ll stop anywhere I see water that looks like there will be fish in it. Take care and be safe out there and God bless

I like the fact that you're local; you are often fishing the waters all around me (I live in Cleveland), so it's good to see tips relevant to where I fish. I started fishing along the Greenway and I've found some nice spots after watching you do it. The big downside to all that pollution in the urban areas is that it makes the fish highly suspect at best if you want to catch & keep. Still, ANY day fishing is better than...well, whatever other kind of day there is!

I agree on having as much or better luck wading downstream. Long casts to the opposite bank makes a difference so far as your sediment. Some lures seem to present better reeled upstream in current, particularly spinning baits but also ned stuff in small rivers and creeks. Sometimes it depends on your access point. There are few hard rules in fishing.

I wish KZbin allowed picture posting in comments; I think they did at one time. This creek I've been fishing down here is very similar to this one, except that there's no rock down here, only sand, and the bass are all spotted - no largemouths. Gin clear water, and very shallow - if you can find a spot that's a foot and a half deep, there's a fish there every time.

If you have wheelie bin type bin, guees stick couple inch piec of chicken out, once get little whites on there , fly eggs, pop it in a another container, inside the bin. The second container for first time would be 2l bottle with bottom cut off tights and gaffer tape type scenario, so air gets in, they cant escape. But remember dont let em sweat
