Well edited video. I have realized that creeking is defined differently in various regions.

Thanks! Yeah we call anything where you are falling creeking. If it is absolutely tiny we refer to it as micro-creeking

I never get tired of watching you paddle the local places I’m not good enough to paddle yet 😂

Give it time! You'll get there. We will have some clinics again this summer

@WhitewaterBBQ sounds good! Be sure to use the New York Whitewater Paddlers Facebook page to find people to go out with if you aren't already

Having a gauge there is pure magic. I have never been able to catch it on a regular basis before. That said don't be afraid of paddling it high. The bad holes have blown away kind of like on the Fish.

Interesting comment about the Stomper; I loved my Stomper 80! Though I freely admit it didn't track well at all, it would auto-boof. I changed boats after 7 years because I felt like eventually I'd crack it and lose any resale value, and because I always felt like it needed more stern volume or 5 extra gallons or something at 160'. But it sounds like the DRX is too big for me.

The DRXS just was announced. That will be the small size and should fit you.

Alex, have you also paddled the code, what do you think the main differences where between the code and the drx?
@AlexBarham5 ай бұрын
The DRX is focused on being a really stable, reliable, and consistently high performance displacement hull. The Code is a high performance semi-displacement that is very forgiving, but also focused on being dynamic and sporty

nice paddling! where do you have your seat mounted? I'm 170lbs and got my seat all the way forward because the bow seems to have a mind of its own sometimes and cant keep a ferry angle. Have u noticed that? might just be a lack of skills lol. Besides that, its a great boat!
@AlexBarham11 ай бұрын
I'm one spot back from forward with my foot block as far back as I can stand it. Try paddling it a little slower, and twist at the hips to steer instead of lifting a knee

That is a nice looking boat for sure! How are you liking it so far? I’ve had a few friends who regularly paddled one for a time, one of them got an « over-skip » on the 7 sisters falls of the Rouge and broke his foot in the ensuing beater. The 2 others have absolutely loved it as well as the Kush, which seems to have a similar semi-displacement hull.
@AlexBarham11 ай бұрын
I thought the entire point of the sisters was to skip away from the hole at the bottom of every drop! I've been loving this boat. It has all the things we have lost by going for hardcore rails and focusing completely on hull speed. This thing is just easy to place, boof and land. Feels super reliable and intuitive to me, and even the most elite sponsored boaters paddling for other brands have admitted it was sweet when no-one was around to hear.

After paddling this boat and seeing the Kush we are DYING to get a demo in to play with this year. It looks like the perfect update to the Braaap

@@AlexBarham haha well, the problem he got was skipping directly from the first drop into the second one without control, on the left (unpleasant) side of the horseshoe. But I think he was not very well matched in paddling style for that boat, he sold it afterwards. And very nice to hear! That mid-hull transition seems very sweet on both boats. One of the guys runs absolutely everything with his Kush and is getting a Dragorossi sponsorship. Seems to be a real quiver killer for him, he can stern stall it on the flat and run scary stuff (beaver blaster and several stout Quebec runs).

@JF.Rivest oh I saw him Beaverfest weekend in it! Yup, he was crushing. He should reach out to me. I think we will be his closest store for Rossi
