@@xIcarus227 Lars is adequate for Metallica. Their music isn't Dream Theater. It's simplistic thrash. Barely maintain tempo? Umm it's perfectly fine. He often plays on the back beat. Amateurs and the clueless call it losing tempo or fucking up. He plays to a riff rather than trying to control a riff. Tommy Lee is the same. Lars is respected by a lot of other drummers who actually have a clue. The weakness in the band to me is Kirk. Messes up way too much. Even the beginning of Nothing Else Matters which can be played with no fret input. C'mon man..

The drums really don't fit well with the guitar this way. Basically drums and guitar are there to balance eachother out, not compete with eachother (all the double bass and unneccesary fills). It doesn't fit Metallica. He's a good drummer though, just not a fit for Metallica

@@SonOfNone Are panic attacks not an illness? They're very much involuntary, my man. Panic attacks don't really have anything to do with "nerves" in the colloquial sense. I mean sure, nerves can trigger them but it's not a requirement by any means. You can be completely chilling when your body decides that now is a good time to go into overdrive. Most people think they're having heart attack when they have a panic attack for the first time. It's no picnic.

Idk how you could say he's hands down the best drummer ever with all the great players that are out there (Tomas Haake, Mario Duplantier, and Vinnie Paul are a few of my personal favorites, but there's even guys like El Estepario Siberiano who is really only known from his KZbin videos but has some of the best chops I've ever seen...) I love Joey Jordison, he was awesome and an incredibly skilled player, but to say he's hands down the best ever is kinda crazy in my opinion... There's just so many amazing and influential drummers that I could never say one is hands down the best ever.
