My only issue with this story is that OP doesn’t know jack shit about Big Softie, he never even researched anything, but then all of a sudden at the end he knows exactly what Big Softie is all about. Everyone is calling Big Softy a homie, which I WOULD agree with... If he had more acted like a guardian angel for the narrator rather than a haunting demon for Ian. Big Softie was never the narrator's friend, he was only hunting. And gained a symbiotic relationship of sorts. To hunt better.
