Yup ! The same thing happened with Mc Donald’s . All the characters were unfortunately removed and the restaurants became grown up and dull . With one difference in Burger kings favor . The crown remained as a symbol of a wonderful memory for so many of us . I wish they would consider bringing those characters back . Maybe once or twice a year . The kids would love it and I believe the family atmosphere would draw a lot of business. .🎉😅😊

My realtor's husband was the original Burger King. His name was Dick Gjonola from Polo Illinois. When he heard they were going to use the creepy mask, he said he would come back, but they didn't want him, they wanted the creepy mask instead. I have an autographed photo of him as The Burger King that I've had since 2006. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2009. RIP.

In Australia, Burger King is called Hungry Jack’s, because at that time, a small inconvenience store in South Australia was trademarking the name “Burger King”, so we don’t have the Burger King mascot. But, the toys we purchase from Hungry Jack’s still have its American counterpart’s name printed on the back. BTW I live in Australia.
