Fun Fact: Half Life 2 Distorted Trumpets and Postal Redux Central Park both use the same sample. Sample is "Is That The Door?" - Cuckooland; Ghost In The Machine, Zero G (1995). Half Life 2 uses it after the trumpets, also, the half life 2 trumpets are sampled from the same library.

Silent Hill in general. The music is fantastic. Cry of fears soundtrack is good, not one I'd listen to outside of the game. And distorted trumpets is up there with the first poison zombie encounter. I know the poison zombie isn't music but hearing that thing grunting terrified 12 year old me.

0:37 as dark as postal 1 is, instead of spooky sounds or anxiety inducing music, central park is more... depressing. It almost feels like the person we play as is too far gone, there is no coming back from being a sociopathic manslaughterer. It does really give me a feeling of a tragedy happening, a tragedy for hundreds, if not, thousands of people. It easily wins for me, its not scary, nor creepy, its scary in a fact a shooter like this could happen at any time, and even you can be a victim.

The trumpets always remind me of the supposed idea for a third half life, which was a darker versions akin to the beta after the resostance failed and breen wasnt there to breen all over the place (he was the only thing keeping humanity from being turned into paste)
