To be honest, writing off Thomas or stopping his work as a steam locomotive would be a good end to the story. No one wanted him to die from scrap disposal or boiler explosion. His locomotive crew lives, retired, they and their families live together happily, but they still nostalgically remember working on the Railroad, their beloved locomotive friend, and one day they will see him again in heaven. If I saw this, it probably would be even worse, because it’s even more terrifying, and I loved Thomas the tank engine the most (along with bob the builder).
