As someone born in 2006 I discovered the internet a way too early, like by 2012, I grew up watching creepypasta, I recognized each one of them, I remember having sleepless nights because I was so scared from Jeff the killer, smile dog and all the .exe creepypastas, the worst part is that I literally spended hours watching stuff almost everyday for 1 or 2 years, I remember I watched a lot of gore and pretty disturbing things that I didn't understand and didn't really cared much about that, fortunately that didn't really affect me, but I still have nightmares from time to time.
