Plans for this build: www.buildsomething.com/plans/...
For this build, I knew that wanted to fit two tools into a relatively small footprint. Having a small shop that shares its space with vehicles, I needed it to be mobile as well. The icing on the cake was the addition of a full dust collection plumbing system complete with blast gates.
I would like to thank Kreg Tools and Purebond for sponsoring this video and providing some awesome tools and products that I can implement into this table.
There will be plans up the www.BuildSomething.com website for this build. Please keep in mind that plywood and material thicknesses vary and there are some dimensions on this project that can be "off" due to that.
I JUST GOT MY WEBSITE UP AND PLANS ARE NOW AVAILABLE HERE: creevesmakes.com
As I keep growing and going, I will develop and add more plans to the site! Please comment or contact me and let me know what plans you want to see next! Thank you to everyone for the support! Without you and this community, I wouldn't be able to host and put up this content the way that I do. I hope to make this a more common occurrence in 2019! Thanks!

That is a mean looking workstation. It got my creative juices flowing. I don't have a tabletop router like that one but I have the Skil SRT1039 bench top so I'd have to see how I would get mine to fit those planes unless I can detach the tabletop piece and mount on the cabinet. Great job sir!!! Also, YES, I would have painted to dust collection pipes also. Black or blue.

This is a great build. I love how it turned out. And yeah... painting all the dust collection black was a good call. That was a good call. Looks better. I have the Kreg router table so I don't see me making this particular set up... but I really like this. I learned from the build and it gave me ideas on what to do when I enclose... and trick out... my Kreg table. Thanks for sharing.

This is a nice project and since I have the Kreg router table and the Foreman, I was contemplating doing such a project. So I’m glad you created the plans for it. The printed plans were a little confusing regarding adding the two horizontal dividers. Although I can pretty much extrapolate the distance, it would’ve been nice if the plans showed at what height you mounted the dividers. It also implies that the dividers were added before adding the top for the Foreman. But in the video, it looks like you added the Foreman top before adding the horizontal divider panels. That’s certainly the way I would do it as it gives you room to work. If you add the horizontal panels first it would be very difficult to get the top on using pocket screws. All in all, a really nice project. Thank you

Very nice design and build.....the only thing I'd do is add a blast gate to the router table fence so that if you are doing something where the fence is not providing actual suction, like for anything buried in the piece, you can concentrate the suction in the router chamber....oh, and drill some holes in the front of the router chamber door to provide bothe intake and router motor cooling.....thanks for the great content.
@CReevesMakes

There is a paint product that is used to ground all the components and isolate noise inside of guitars. It is black as well as other colors. It is a little costly but just painting a stripe down the side with a screw at the end will give you an static electric shock stop when connected to a ground. I play an electric guitar and was getting shocked every time I played in my socks. My luthier fixed it with the paint inside of the component cutouts and on the back of the covers.

I didn’t see any grooves or means to keep the bit storage slides from tipping down when you pull out the slides or did I miss it? Any way awesome build. I’ve been using Kreg pocket hole jigs since 1999. Glad to see a craftsman use glue along with the screws. I always said the screws were mini clamps that forever remained in place. That’s how I could and would give a forever warranty on furniture and cabinetry. Very “Robust” craftsmanship ✌️😎

I built Norm Abrams router table about 20 years ago but was never happy with the dust collection. You have given me some ideas about making changes that should help. A think casters would help too as my shop is getting a bit crowded. But I think casters may make the top too high. Something else to think about. Good production. good narration and video. As mentioned by others, the music is a distraction. Look up the word "background" in the dictionary. Actually none at all would be better. I watched this video for it's educational value, not for entertainment. The education bit was great. Not so the entertainment. BTW first time viewer. Now I have to check out the rest of your videos. I clicked Thumbs Up, may subscribe.

When you mounted the router table to the base i noticed you used pocket holes did they go through the router table base or into another piece? Thanks for all the help!!

Pocketholes right into the router table top. Worked great!

Nice video. I'm curious what you've modded on your cordless ridgid circular saw around 6:15. Aside from the Kreg track saw mount, it looks like maybe a couple items added for dust collection. Thanks for the video.

Its a customized Ridgid circular saw. I glued a shop vac nozzle to it and added side shields to see if I could make it dust free.

At the end around 17:08, when you're showing off the router lift, does the adjustment thingymabob lock in place? You run your workpiece over top of the router elevation adjuster. Is there anything keeping the workpiece from accidentally turning that little wheel and changing the height of your router?
@CReevesMakes
@CReevesMakes 5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can lock the position and the material will not contact the dial wheel. I have seen some people put a small piece of tape on some of their router lifts to keep the wheel from moving, but I have not had an issue.

you have a fantastic router table set up. Could you tell me what size Empire Framing square you had, It looks larger then 12 inches that Empire sells. Where can I pick one up like the one you have, By the way great videos on all your projects.

Casey, awesome build as usual! What router did you use in your lift? I am wanting to purchase the Kreg lift, but want to make sure I get a router that fits...preferably Ridgid. Thanks in advance Matthew Pratt

Hey Matthew! I used the Ridgid R22002 2HP unit. Fits nicely into the lift. The lift is really easy to set up and use. Good luck!

Great build which I will adapt for my requirements. Please can you advise where you purchased the slotted driver used in your drill to tighten the hose connectors and what it is called?

Hey thanks David! It’s actually just a socket bit out of my Milwaukee driver set. It just fits over the hex of the clamp. Way easier than flat blade bits! Thanks for watching and good luck!👍🏻

Really nice build but after all the effort of matching the grain on the draw fronts and doors why screw the electrical plate from the outside? Having those three screws visible would drive me crazy!

I know what you mean but it doesn’t bother me as bad as I thought it would. I may be adding stuff to the table and wanted easy access to that area. Maybe I should have put some more hinges there with a magnet catch? 🤔 now Ya got me thinking! Thanks for watching!

Very nice! Can you tell me the overall height, width and length on this fully assembled? Also, if you have the length, width and height on the Miter Table stand you built that would be great. I am thinking that I want to build both of these. Curious about the total footprint and to see if they are the same height as they will likely sit next to each other in my small shop.

It is 49" wide x 36" tall x 28" deep (Foreman Platform) The miter station is 96" wide x 36" tall x 24" deep. I have the miter plans on my website www.creevesmakes.com and let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck!

So they are the same height! Awesome! Thanks Casey! I just picked up a Foreman and was trying to decide what to do with it. I have about a 14' stretch of wall that I am eyeing for this set up, so they would fit great there!

Love it! Very well thought out. I like the black PVC but that weird side of me says that I would paint it KREG blue and put a couple of stickers on a few pieces with the KREG logo!No, bad idea! After the thousandth phone call KREG received trying to locate the piece, you might have lost their sponsorship! LOL
