Creo Parametric - How to Assign a Material

Not sure if you can help but when I do the mass property calculation and then find my center of gravity the location is NOT the center of gravity. Can you possibly suggest a reason why this could be happening? Creo 6.0. the X and the Y are where they should be but the Z is off by a mile. The Z plane is the main parting line of the tool. I'm doing mold design and the customer is not too happy that his mold doesn't hang even close to level.

If you've checked all the components for proper density and to make sure all parts are solid, I would open a case with PTC Technical Support. It's most likely an issue with one of the models.

Creo should enhance the Material library in the coming releases. Even though flexibility is there to create your own material library within Creo, they should add more Engineering materials in the library. Recently I came across a CAD package where they have different materials within a particular alloy with different heat treatment conditions...The properties of these materials are widely accepted for Engineering Analysis. Instead of creating your own library by referring to handbooks, we should be able to take these model properties for analysis in Creo Simulate or Creo ANSYS simulation...

Why not? Everyone can create an account on PTC Community as a Basic User. Giving feedback here is next to worthless. I'm not PTC and I don't relay information from commenters to PTC product managers.

Is it possible to assign material using relations and parameters?

Pretty certain it is, although I’ve never done it myself. It might help if you give me a bigger picture of what you’re trying to do, like control material in a Family Table.
