To Gunnar & Shay- this is my first time on your channel and I have never watched project runway before but what you both accomplished was absolutely astounding!!!! I did not think it at all possible to get these projects under $1000.00, no less approximately for #300.00!!! and also actually find similar fabric and sewing everything in two days. It's so difficult to choose my favourite because I ADORE them both! I am a HUGE fan of copper so Gunnar's dress really appealed to me, but then Crescent's dress looked so freaking gorgeous on those steps in the sunlight. This was really fun and interesting to see how you both problem solve the different issues that came up. I can't choose a favorite because they both look gorgeous. Imagine what you could do with more time and money. You should definitely do something similar to this again in the future. It could be a series where either both of you working on something or you each do a similar challenge with your other friends who design, create and sew, but do a series with other guests doing it. That could be a lot of fun and educational as well. Happy sewing.

Loved Gunnar's recreation of it. The copper colour is stunning against the blue and I looove the copper bead fabric he chose. Shay you nailed the bodice with all of the beadwork, not gonna lie though I didnt fancy the gold lace as much because I felt it was too broad but I loved the outcome and overall last look. I cant choose they were both equally stunning in their own way and beautiful too. Thank you for making these longwr vids. She grew up in the late 20s early 30s had 4 girls in the late 40’s early 50s and made almost everything they wore. I helped her make my aunts wedding dress which I was so infatuated with. Both are amazing. Shay’s choice is time consuming as there are a lot of appliqués so that’s bonus point but Gunner’s technique is amazing. To be fair, both of you complete the sewing in 3 days so technically it is 3 days challenge (minus the shopping)

I would have chosen a more delicate lace for the appliques on yours and I would have loved to see Gunnar pull off the reveal the way Blake's dress was but given the limitations of the challenge I know that wouldn't have worked.
