If you are running the old style walbro 460 (F90000267) they start bleeding off pressure at 85psi. I found out the hard way. Basically if you have a base fuel pressure of say 50psi, as soon as u get near 30-35psi of manifold boost pressure you will start running out of flow pretty quickly.

Fuel flow will be restricted at the smallest point in the system, usually at the junctions. Holley makes some larger connectors with larger internal diameters. Flow is inversely related to the 4th power of the radius. So increasing pressure only helps so much.

Great video as usual. While the end result wasn't what you wanted, the diagnostics I think was a huge save. The nice oily bits stayed inside the block, you again ran a PB and you didn't waste thousands on the new build. Now to build a new stronger fuel system, if all the voltages check out

Benny's custom works something you might look into is here in the states in nascar cup series they use efi but use cable driven fuel pumps. They run 8 to 9500 rpm for hours and the volume and pressure stay. They used electric pumps in the beginning but wouldn't last. It might be a solution for you.

If you're not running a referenced fuel pressure reg & a fairly low static line pressure with big boost then surely the biggest factor is the fact that the pressure difference across the injector drops to almost nothing. Fuel won't flow if the pressure difference is low.... first port of call would be either crank base fuel pressure so you maintain a big enough pressure drop across the injector at higher boost or go to a manifold referenced fuel pressure reg which would give you the same effect. You guys have seen more & probably forgotten more than most people would ever know but this seems an odd conclusion to me!
