I have an odd ball 300 Rally here in Indonesia. It retains the first gen 55 mm stroke for 249 cc displacement. It also comes with this model specific European ECU that is locked up tight. The only issue I am trying to fix is the very jerky off on throttle response, it makes riding the bike slow or off road not much fun. Was your bike like that with the stock ECU? If so does the EJK tuner address this issue. I would go the 550 Performance route, but I got a weird one here. Thx

All stock bikes are a little lean from the factory, which makes them less than smooth. The EJK helped some but the 550 ECU that I'm currently testing helped more. I see a European ECU on the 550 performance website...they are quick with answers if you message them. Good luck!

I just purchased a used 2023 Rally with 550 miles. First gear seems really jerky and I must shift as soon as the bike gets rolling or I'll jerk to death. I assume this is typical? Thanks for any information. I'm not sure what measures can be taken to fix this, or if I should even bother and just enjoy the bike for what it is.

@TB7-X This seems bit weird. Setting off you can feather the clutch and "ride out" of the lean spot. For me the jerky fueling showed when in lower gears, slower speeds while closing and then opening the throttle. Try tightening the throttle cables (if loose), accel bit harder from stop and or slip/feather the clutch bit longer. I now have 550 performance ecu tune, shorter/larger airbox/throttle body snorkle/manifold and full Blackwidow exh. Bike kicks ass now, smooth, pulls hard all the way to the red line. The stock suspension is a bubble gum joke, I have YSS shock and Racetech extra spring and (because I wanted even better performance) gold valve. Now the bike suspends. If u go for Racetech, buy direct as they have 4 or 5 diff spring rates. Some shops that carry Racetech springs only sell the stiffest one, it was too stiff for my 75kgs. Honda delivers unfinished product, once u get the bike set up, it's a blast. Good luck

... Thanks for the video. I am willing to learn as much as possible about the CRF 300 L and Rally as possible. (I have a Rally) Because I did not understand the "Piggy Back" I did more searching and found this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnzShZWhoNSilas . I see now it is an either/or between the EJK (piggy back) or the ECU being re-flashed. 550 Performance. I bought the Yoshimura RS4 full exhaust, DNA air filter and will do the CBR intake boot. Also bought the 550 Stage 1 ECU. Your video brought my education further along and I thank you for it. . Jeff .

Sorry you dont say what cgen your controller is. Base numbers stock 1.5 all of the lights. You did set only 3 lights ?

the product description is CRF300L Rally - EJK Fuel Injection Controller 9110044 which is Gen 3. Also I did not change any of the settings. I just show you how to read the lights. For me it worked perfectly as configured out of the box. Hope that helps!

Should/could you run this with an upgraded ECU? I have a rally and have been looking at 550 performance cams, big bore kit, Ecu upgrades. Any opinions on using this with those upgrades?

I am currently in the process of installing and testing the 550 Performance Stage 1 ECU...the EJK will be removed so that these don't work against each other. As far as the ECU working with the other mods you are considering, I'm sure it will, just let the folks at 550 Performance know the details of your setup and they will get you set up with the right ECU...they are super quick with replies. @@simonliddiard4900 I was asking about the stage 4 set up. Wasn’t sure which ecu I would need and whatnot. Shonky productions does a really good set of videos on all the 55” performance modes. Sport cams, big bore kit, ecu, etc.

EU ratings 95/98 are equivalent to US ratings 91/93 from what I understand. I consistently run 91, 93, or 94 here in the US...highest available wherever I happen to be riding. So, it seems like you shouldn't have an issue, but if you have a concern drop them a message at electronicjetkit.com I have found them to be helpful. Thanks
