After playing Cricket 19 and Ashes Cricket extensively now for a few years these are some of thoughts and improvements I think Big Ant can make. The graphics in Cricket 19 are definitely sharper and more defined so that should stay. However I think the fielding animations in Ashes Cricket were much better. Players actually would slide, they caught the ball with two hands, it actually looked as if the player is truly catching and the fielding was much faster. I don't know what on earth happened in Cricket 19 but the slow fielding and really bad catching graphics really hurt the game. The players will sometimes take 3 seconds to kneel down "in the slowest animation ever" to pick up the ball. The players also make weird looking one handed grabs where it doesn't even look like the ball is coming to their hands. When there is an edge to the wicket keeper, there is an incredible lag time from the time the ball has left the bat to when the wicket actually starts moving to make the catch. Then all of a sudden when the ball is nearing the ground the wicket keeper magically flies out his stance to make the catch. Not acceptable

It was not a great game even for 2006. Just check out Brian Lara Cricket 99. Cricket games have always been slow to improve because it's such a small market and so few people buy these games.

This is much better than Ea sports. That game is for kids, you can virtually hit every ball for 6s even in Hard difficulty and there's no career mode or Scenario in 2007. The graphics was horrible as well with all their bowling actions the same and commentary was the worst part. Even the easiest of catches was commented as " that was a very difficult catch" 🤣🤣

Sadly there is no mention of controls in this review. Because it's the controls in previous cricket games like EA's franchise which kept it from becoming a great cricket video game. The batting and bowling has so many complexities and giving a perfect control for this is a big chllallenge. I hope this game has indicated on that side.

All that negativity, and they gave it an 8? I can't deal with IGN. They underrate the best games, overrate horrible games, talk so positively, and rate low, and talk negatively and give a high rate. Nothing IGN does ever make sense.

GREAT JOBS BY BIG ANTS AND BEST CRICKET GAME EVER. I RATE EA CRICKET 05 WAY BETTER THAN EA CRICKET 07 AND COMPARE TO THIS GAME NOT EVEN CLOSE. CAREER MODE, TOUR, TOURNAMENT AND WITH COMMUNITY ALL RECENT UPDATED TEAM, UNIFORMS, KITS AND PLAYERS. ONLY WISH I HAVE THAT TO HAVE ALL LICENSED TEAM WITH AUS AND ENG. THIS GAME HAS EACH CORNER COVER AND VERY MINOR PROBLEMS AND FOR ME IT DERSERVE 9/10. IT WILL BE GREAT THAT WITH MORE CRICKET STADIUMS IN FUTURE AND ATLEAST INDIA IN LICENSED TEAM WHICH WILL BRING MORE BUSINES FOR BIG ANTS AS WELL.

Mocap and player movement in cricket games has ALWAYS looked stiff and weird. no one has nailed the speed and looseness of bowling action yet.
