Dilip sir has best stance in the world cricket...I have problem for bouncing ball but when copied Dilip sir stance now I can hit bouncer..Dilip stance will allow you to hit six from the back foot..stance is very simple right hand should be loose and left tight.

Some people have habit of making a comment about some players abilities & performances without having very little knowledge of the game. It is pertinent to note that Dilip B Vengasarkar played for India in 116tests scoring nearly 7000runs at an average little over 41 scoring 17 centuries &35 half centuries which clearly shows that he had reasonably successful test career. The fact that he played for India from 1976 to 1991 for 15 years in itself is a testimony to his class, consistency and performance. I don't think any batsmen other than Sunil Gavaskar & Vishwanath did it so long. One remembers the innings Dilip played against Pakistan in 1979 at Delhi scoring an unbeatan 146 on the final day of match when it wasn't easy to bat on 5th day against the likes of Imran, Iqbal quasim needing 390 to win but ran out of partner & India failed short by 20 odd runs. Even Vishwanath also played 91matches scoring 6000 runs at an average of 41 with 14 centuries. If you study the statistics, performance of both are almost on par. This goes on to show that Dilip Vengasarkar was a very good player and played for 15 years of international cricket at a time when all countries had best bowling attack.

In a test career of 116 matches & a career lasting close to 15 years could not score a century in any country overseas apart from England. Went to Australia 4 times, West Indies 3 times & NZ 3 times & Pakistan 3 times without any notable performaces apart from no centuries. The only other country where he came close to it was in Sri Lanka where he was 98* in 1985-86. So was a failure, really.

@MrFoliumofdescartes thanks. & even in England apart from those 4 hundreds has done very little in the remaining innings. The only English tour where he can be really branded as a success was the 1986 tour where he did something of note apart from a century at Lord's.

@@sureshsiva8951 2 of those centuries came against West Indies in 1978 and anyone who follows cricket will know that it was a second string team or B team under Alvin Kallicharran when the main players including the front line fast bowlers went off to play the Packer world series. Having class is fine, but that does not make the player a success. 15 years of playing with 116 tests and not even one 100 overseas other than England makes one wonder where that class was when he was touring those countries no less than 3-4 times each.
