Imagine a team that did not play international cricket for nearly a decade in their own home ground gave tough moments to no.1 Australian team. It’s a shame that their poor fielding and crucial drop catches let them down. They don’t have a single good player or lets say a single match winning player in their team and not a single quality spinner still they gave tough time to Australia. Also let me remind you that in their own home grounds the ball doesn’t come to you above your knees and yet you still perform better than the expectation In Australian conditions

true, but what I think is more telling is the amount of catchable balls that have gone between slippers this match. I think we will come to learn that an extra slip is needed for pink ball tests

I think the pink ball is harder to see and it was very slippery with all the humidity last night. Hazlewood said after the end of play that sometimes it was hard to grip the ball to bowl it. Plus it was pretty hot and energy-sapping all day. It’s easy for us watching to forget about the conditions. If I had to do my indoor desk job without air con my performance would be affected, so we expect a lot from athletes.
