Robin Singh has to be the most underrated and limited cricketer (apparently not as naturally gifted as were people like sachin) but he has to be one of the most selfless, hardworking and gritty people who played in 90s and 2000s. Someone you could bet on to bat for your life. He was a through gentleman and a team player...great tactician too... As an 80s child in Pakistan I never liked him coz he wasn't fast as a bowler not a waqar or wasim, he wasn't classy as a batsman not an anwar or saurav, he didn't look dashing not an imran but that guy made up for everything with his efforts....i only learnt to appreciate him once he retired.....all an all a gem...only editing this to mention his fielding...if world had ponting and rhodes.....India had him

Captaincy badly affected Tendulkar batting. 1997 was a forgatble year for Indian cricket fans. India lossed test and odi series in West Indies. Then list Independence cup and Sharjah cup. Then lossed odi series in Dri Lanka and Pakistan. Home series against Sri Lanka was drawn. Only success was at Sahara cup where they beat Pakistan, thanks to outstanding performance of Ganguly. Otherwise it was a poor team. Jayasurya, Anwar, Desilva, Lara everybody got back in form while playing Indian bowlers. Kumble also was out of form.

Rahul Dravid played very slow 61runs of 103 balls atleast 40 runs less otherwise team score would have been 250+ 260+ runs. But still we would have lost the match due to one and only Sanath Jayasuriya.
