I have enjoyed watching live and catching up haha I have learned so much I thought I only wanted the Maker 3 but now I think I want that joy too it just looks so convenient to get out and use for something small I don't have a lot of space where I can just leave my explore 2 out at all times

Question for people with a Joy. I just got the Joy for Christmas. I also have the Explore 3. I had trouble with the Bluetooth on my my IMac. However, Cricut helped me with that. They told me you have to turn the Joy off when I want to use the Explore 3. Is this true? I’ve seen people choose their machine from a drop down menu in Design Space. Maybe you can’t now?? Hi Jennifer, I realise that the smart vinyl rolls for the Joy Extra are small. Are there other brands that can be used with the machine or do i have to buy the Cricut brand.

They are designed to fit the Joy but you can get them 20ft long! You can use other vinyl that is not smart vinyl on a mat.

What type of vinyl do you need to turn upside down on a mat

You need to turn iron-on vinyl (also known as heat transfer vinyl) upside down on the mat. The shiny side, which is the carrier sheet, should be placed face down on the mat, and the dull side, which is the vinyl itself, should be facing up for cutting. jennifermaker.com/ultimate-guide-to-vinyl/

Is the blade for the Joy the same as the blades for the other Cricut machines? I was just gifted a Joy and lots of other tools, vinyl, ect. and not really familiar whit using a Joy. I have an Expressions II, an Explore One and the Cricut Explore III and now learning about the Crciut Joy, LOL

Yeah, I guess it was because it was the wee hours of the morning when I tried. I'm enrolled now & have the book printed out. Can't wait to get started, except I keep getting the message that my Joy isn't connected to my computer. I've checked the blue tooth repeatedly & it says it's connected.
