You have to respect a man that is willing to listen to a song and show the world what he is actually feeling. As a kid this song was fine to me but now that I’m a full grown man this shit brings tears to my eyes every time. Crying let’s the sad out. I respect this reaction so much.

"When your happy you enjoy the music but when your sad you understand the lyrics!" Chester. With me is the same. When I was young I listened to music. But now when I am older I understand lyrics. Maybe because of the proces of painful aging and more mature thinking.

@@genewhetstone5548 There's only been about 3 times in my that I've actually legitimately cried. 1st time was when my mom left 11 years ago to live in Germany, after divorcing my dad, practically abandoning my autistic brother and me. 2nd time was when my dad's closet friend / my god-father passed away. 3rd time happened only a few months ago when my grandma died, I cried so much that I was unable to produce tears. Not a single woman outside of my family has seen me cry. I honestly hate that I feel the need to hide my tears from people.

Hey, man. Just wanted to say much respect for your honest reaction. Takes a grown ass man who is comfortable with himself to show what he is honestly feeling. I admittedly fell down the rabbit hole today of watching reactions and there were a lot of men who didn't show what they were likely actually feeling from this song. Any grown man, or woman, who has ever loved someone, has likely felt this pain and knows this pain, that Amy Lee conveys so beautifully. Props to you for letting us see that you know what love is. I have seen so many of your reactions, that the same music that gets me to cry and brings out repressed emotions in me, does the same to you. You said everything that needed to be said about this video in the silence. I used to watch it when I was a caregiver for my mother, and cry my eyes out. I felt so much of lyrics, especially the part that goes " I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone , but though you're still with me I've been alone all along ". To me that describes the feeling of someone taking care of a loved one that has dementia. They are with you, but they're not.

I was the only one in my huge family that was there for my dad as he died a slow pain death and was on Hospice. Many nights he would cry from being scared of death, and would have panic attacks but just me being with him holding his hands would calm him down. Although he is passed now for 3 years, his presence still lingers and I'm still grieving and long to hold my daddy's hands again. I missed my own dads funeral because I had a manic breakdown and was in the hospital because I didn't know how to see him in a coffin and say goodbye to him. My mom died 3 weeks unexpectedly before he did and my mind just cracked.. .and it's still scared very much. I dedicate this song to my Daddy! I love and miss you every hour of the day!

Dear Tina, I am so sorry for the pain you experienced with your mom and dad‘s passing. I’ve been on this earth long enough to understand death is merely a transition; The soul leaves and cannot return to a body that is no longer viable to hold it. But the soul does live on. I’ve seen evidence of it Time and again. I would tell anyone who is grieving to talk out loud to the person you are grieving over as if they were there in the room with you. ask them to send you a sign so do you know that they are still alive and that they can hear you and that they are well. I’ve done this a handful of times with different loved ones who have passed on and I almost always get one or more signs either within a day or within a week and usually something that is so improbable and so coincidental-specifically so-that it can’t be just a coincidence. it’s one of the Most comforting things in the world when you get a response from them and you know that they are still with you. Just because you can’t hear or see them, does not mean that they’re not there. Your Mom and Dad ARE there with you. Much love.
