That line "...though you're still with me, I've been alone all along" kills me every time. Especially with this song being out around when I lost my papa to cancer & I never resonated with a lyric more than having to go on without him around. Same! My best friend and I first heard them on the radio in 6th grade, fell in love with the songs and proceeded to listen to the "Fallen" album on repeat. To the point we both sunk into a depression and had to take a loooong break from indulging in the music again. Recently I popped in that beloved CD during a road trip and could still sing along to all the songs. I texted her and said "Dude, guess what I was listening to." She had, coincidentally, just finished hearing one of the songs. Lots of memories of our younger dorky, goofball, and angsty, teen years.

@@sherrywilliams8746 How many times I felt this way in a relationship I knew was bound to end badly. She used to ask me why I never asked her to marry again after I caught her cheating and stealing from me, it was because the trust was gone and I was alone in the relationship so often, being to only one who was in love. This song, Bonnie Raitt's "I can't make you love me" , Brooks & Dunn, "You're Gonna Miss me when I'm Gone" and Tom Petty, "You Got Lucky(When I Found You)" used to make me cry and make her so angry when I sung along. I hope you found some peace and can heal your heart.

you got it right. Angelic is the perfect word to describe this wonderful woman. I always find this song very emotional no matter how many times I listen to it.

Love seeing non-metalheads/rockers react to rock and metal, they’re always so kind about it🖤

I read a comment on another page that the reason she never walks on the ground is because she is an angel or she passed away and that is her spirit. Very thought provoking.

Amy Lee is one of the most amazing and underrated vocalists in all of music. She's incredible.
@aussiepie48653 жыл бұрын
I disagree, she’s not underrated at all. Everyone thinks she’s has one of the best voices going around, it’s just that the band is not mainstream enough. Tbh I don’t want them to be mainstream the music they create is always amazing and not cookie cutter like certain mainstream female “stars.”
