Absolutely BEAUTIFUL song and can be extremely emotionally triggering. I saw in another reaction to this video something that I never noticed. She never touches the ground in the video. She is on roofs, tree branches, the fountain ledge, etc. It appears that she is the one that is gone, he (male playing the piano in the video) is mourning her. Incredibly haunting and a lovely song. Amy Lee has one of the best voices in the history of music!

Yeah, there are numerous references to her being "dead" and probably by suicide... the bandages on her wrist, he not touching the ground, nobody around her noticing her, the man looking up at the rooftops as he walks around the streets, and especially the scenes of her on the dented car roof, which is a call back to a famous photo of a woman named Evelyn McHale who jumped off the 86th floor of the Empire State Building in 1947 that was widely published as "the Most Beautiful Suicide". The picture is stunning in its unintentional aesthetic qualities and it inspired numerous artists, including Andy Warhol. I won't link it here, but if you want to see it, it's on Wikipedia.

The video and song takes place after her fall from the building in "Bring me to life". She has passed, and He is in mourning over the loss, if you look at what he sees, he is looking at the upper floors of the buildings as he walks the streets. He is also dressed in a black suit, like he has been to a funeral. Amy does not touch the ground hinting at the fact that she is dead, and is watching as a spirit. Awesome concept. Not sure if Amy has spelled this out or not, it has been some time since it's release.

Amy has never looked more beautiful... MY take on this song, from the video. Everybody thinks she's sad because her boyfriend, or whatever left her alone even though she was always there for them... The video leads me in another direction. SHE is the one who left, she just doesn't know it. She died. You can see the pain in the face of her boyfriend who is wearing a suit and looking like he just got back from her funeral. She's in all white... Extremely beautiful and nobody ever looks at her, because they can't see her... She's an Angel now.

I know the pain of losing someone like that, especially when it is the fault of someone who doesn't care about anyone but themselves. He, of course, is still alive. That's the way things happen. The innocent get killed, and the guilty wake to see years afterward. I hope you are at some peace with his death and are able to enjoy this holiday season. I'll be thinking about you. ❤

She had so many more friends than I realized show up, that there was barely standing room only. This song is SO emotionally deep, I suddenly realized it may have been Too much noticing everyone's reaction. I had them play Royals by Lorde immediately after, being it was one of her & her friend's faves at the time & way more upbeat. That helped A LOT, as it got everyone up on their feet singing, clapping & dancing. I know she would have loved that. 💙

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It speaks at another level because it can resonate with those who have lost people loved ones not just to death. People who suffer from addiction are often also lost to their loved ones because they are a shell of their former self. The video makes it even more beautiful. Notice that her feet never touch the ground. She is on the car, on the fountain, in the tree, on the roof... never on the ground. You should definitely listen to their song Lithium. It's another beautiful one.

The beautiful thing about this type of music is that it defies "types". Call it what you want....Rock N Roll, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Prog Metal, Nu Metal, Black Metal....whatever......it can incorporate all influences from other genres of music because it is all about freedom. You have influences from the blues, classical music, jazz, rap, R&B.....everything. For that reason, I find "metal" music to be more dynamic and able to run the entire range of emotions. From the edge of despair to absolute pure joy to comic relief to political revolution...it's all here. And it is wonderful watching people get to experience it for the first time after having enjoyed "Rock" music for the better part of 50 years myself.

I attended their concert in Sydney for their 20th Anniversary since they had first toured in Australia. Amy is captivating, very emotional just absolutely beautiful. That concert was so special to her & us Aussies. Amy expressed how much she loved Australia's crowds. She introduced her new bass player & said I had to have an aussie join our band. When the band started out us Aussies made such an impact on her. Amy & the band gave a performance of a lifetime. Amy has had alot of tragedy in her life & she sings from the heart & soul. There were many men in the audience that cried that night. We all went on this beautiful, haunting journey with her & the band. Listen to more of them mate ❤

Her voice is soo beautiful. Love your reaction as always. ❤ Song suggestions.. "No Rain" by Blind Melon... also "Change" by Blind Melon.. if you do "Change" it would be really interesting to do the David Letterman live version.. that was recorded the day that Kurk Cobain died. Blind Melon had just found out that Kurt died.. they changed some of the words to "Change" and at the end, they pay tribute to Kurt. It's an amazing performance...I think you'd really enjoy it. The video for "Change" doesn't do the song justice at all and leaves out some of the best parts of the song... I think you'd really enjoy just the audio version though and the Davidi Letterman live recording is so powerful.
