The trains are dangerous to travel on in NYC also. I was on the #4 train going into the City from the Bronx, and a Venezuelan man was spitting on the train and roaring. I work near Jay Street Metrotech. On the corner of Jay and Wiloughby, you can always find a group of men standing around all day in hoodies. It doesn't take a harvard scholar to figure out what they are up to. There are several agencies in the area that provider services to people who have been in the prison system or are in a harm reduction program. Clean up that corner!

However those specific social services teams are specifically for American homeless who are experiencing mental health decompensation not illegal migrants. These teams are made up of case managers , social workers and possibly a nurse. Psychologists for the most part work in private practice they r not going to go for a community team job

The statistics I'm seeing on the crime going on in New York is appalling to say the least and the politicians and officials need to change the rules and allow police to do their jobs and not hinder them from doing so. If attacked they should be able to protect themselves.

This video fails to highlight that in order for nypd to add more officers....it means that officers will be extremely overworked.....with little time to rest. Transit cops are already working, mostly 10 - or 12-hour shifts unless they are admin, nco, or school unit. Being overwhelmed with work causes more disgruntleness, fatigue, and high levels of stress. Most importantly it will cause more officers to leave. There is no quality of life as promised by the new contract.
