If you in a serious federal case, yea get a good lawyer. Got a misdemeanor & you think there’s no chance the prosecution got ya? Just get a PD man. I’ve had 2 minor cases and 1 felony thrown out first quarter. Didn’t even get a PD assigned. The one time I did, he got my misdemeanor weed charge thrown out. Each of these cases, Bruce would have charged me 1-4k even if the case got thrown out before arraignment or charges weren’t filed. Learned my lesson the first time I got a weed charge. Lawyer charged 2.5k and told me the charge would get me off Scott free. Scott free my ass. He made me take a plea to get into a fucking drug program for 6 months. I was so upset. All my pds never even suggested a plea.
