The really funny thing is that they were not identifiable in the video but by filing the lawsuit they've identified themselves as the perpetrators on the public record and voluntarily exposed their identities and intentionally harmed their own reputations. I was in 4th grade, police did a no knock search. First thing I remember a couple loud pounds on the door (no police announcement) then a bang from them kicking it open. With guns up they immediately cuffed my dad who tried explaining there are kids in the home. They proceeded to toss and tear up everything with no regard, took any cash they found and all the while refusing to properly show to my grandmother (the homeowner) the warrant (which it was a b.s. claim) till after the search. So yeah my first interaction with the police and seeing real guns was that. That was over 14 years ago. Many in my family are law abiding and we stay out of trouble. That was the only major interaction my family had with police and to this day even for something small im very cautious of them. It's one of the reasons I watch channels like this, so i can learn what to do and if my rights were violated.

Imagine what they do to "regular" people if this is what we see them doing to a well known musician with a house full of cameras. Check this out... "An armed shoplifting suspect in Colorado barricaded himself in a stranger's suburban Denver home in June 2015. In an attempt to force the suspect out, law enforcement blew up walls with explosives, fired tear gas and drove a military-style armored vehicle through the property's doors. [...] A federal appeals court in Denver ruled this week that the homeowner, who had no connection to the suspect, isn't entitled to be compensated, because the police were acting to preserve the safety of the public." Go look for photos if you haven't seen them already. They literally destroyed this innocent man's whole home and down't owe him a dime for it. There was no salvaging his home.

The police union sued because they weren't going to get their 5% pay bump. The case ended up in front of an arbitrator and the city just came out and said there was no money for the pay increase and there would have to be cuts to increase police pay. The arbitrator gave the cops 2.5%. The next day the city fired 20% of the police force, starting with the cops that were making the most money. They cited lack of money to pay for the pay increase. The police union sued claiming retaliation and the case was tossed before a trial. In the paper the police were saying that not a single officer should have lost their jobs and that the cuts should have come from every other department in the city. They then proceeded to slow enforcement for the next two years. If your call wasn't some kind of life-or-death emergency, they weren't going to get to you until next week if you were lucky. They seriously wanted to screw over hundreds of families that were already hurting because of the pay freeze and furloughs so they could get their 2.5% pay bump.

They disconnected the man's cameras. Broke down his door and found nothing. (Refused fix the door) Took his $$$ then had an accounting "error". Thanks to that ludicrous lawsuit I discovered Afroman. Brilliant guy! He's not been only put on the map in America : I'm french and totally love these videos even though it must have been hard on him and his family. 12 years of gangbanging with your boys in blue just like in the video. Don't act like you didn't destroy innocent peoples lives that whole time. You ruined families. You took away jobs and advantages. You put those people on paper for the rest of their lives or stood by and watched your gang do it, saying nothing yourself. Problem is you still think you were a hero.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought the whole purpose of the first amendment re: freedom of expression was to allow people to criticize the government without being penalized for that. If this lawsuit by the police is allowed, then that could have a chilling effect on speech and directly contradict the first amendment. I hope whatever judge is assigned this case recognizes that.

His Surveillance cameras were within his own home, a place where the officers cannot expect privacy. According to Ohio law on surveillance, a camera can not be placed in an area where it intentionally records someone in a state of undress OR there is an expectation of privacy. So there has been no invasion of privacy or laws broken.
